  2. Whats the ultimate machinary set up for Tree work.

Today I was pruning some Alders and one of them had a large and decaying tear wound to the side.I cleaned it up carefully with 200T.The cavity is 1/3 deep and then I put a good coat of prune paint and left it for now.I was thinking of possibly filling it but Im wondering if that is going to make it better or not.
  4. I did some off them today at work ,in a euc tree,with bending knees and the dumbest part was that the branch above me was too large to hold on for more than three at a time because I wanted to do 100.

  7. I am a kiwi,Yes it is refered to as NZs Christmas Tree because it is usually in bloom at that time,but I wont tell its name. The pine looks like a Radiata doesnt it,its form is like a Maritime,I guess Monterey.

  16. Your pic is blurry.If this is it, then it is Euc Gall,which is a wasp larvae.If this is what it is then expect it to be widespread.Common in NZ.

It sounds just like a virus I had about 6 months ago,I also had Norton.I tried several free virus removers and the one that found it and repaired it was onecare which you can download the full version free for a trial period of about 60 days.Sadly you must uninstall your other AVs first.The virus was called Fake Alert.

  21. lol,We do it 25 for hardwood and 30 for softwood.I realise that this sounds backwards but we do 25 so that the chain remains sharp for longer than it does at 30 on genuine hardwood.Try for yourself,We also prefer semi chisel for hardwood so that the chain remains sharp for longer than does full chisel on genuine hardwood.Interested in any comments on this.

  23. I have never used an ISC rope grab or a cinch,only used a hitch or a grigri.Are they better than a grigri?
