  1. So where in the highway code does it state that "When you see some bloke in a high-vis vest in the road, stop." ?? No matter what your views on cyclists are, that situation was created by poor traffic management and comms.
  2. Costs about £300 for a proper ECU remap and rolling road test 20-50bhp increase and better fuel economy!

    Unbelievable

That was me who bought it. Did I not get a good deal then?
  5. Good work mate.
  6. This is a possible issue i agree. Perhaps a leisure battery in the truck connected with a split charge relay to the starter battery would be best. A 110Ah one can be sourced for around £80
  7. You can get 12v to 240v Inverters. The husky charger is 330w and takes 35mins. A 500w inverter would be ideal, like this one. Ring RINV500 Powersource 500w Inverter £39.99. Buy mail order car accessories at skidrive.co.uk.
  8. You buy the saw, batteries and charger seperately. Ideally you want 2 batteries so when one runs out, you can swap over and charge. In theory, you shouldn't ever find yourself without power as the charge time is quick (around 30 mins) I think for the saw, 2 batteries and a charger it's around £650 from FR Jones (bit more than a petrol top handle, but no petrol = savings!)

  10. To be honest, i just went full bore through some 10" cord for 3 tanks the first day i got it. I ran the first 10 tanks with only aspen, not sure if that did it any good compared to normal 2 stroke...
  11. Seems very vague. "production is DUE to start in March, with a TARGETED release date AROUND this time" arggghh! I need a new top handle asap but wanted to wait for the husky.
  12. You are better off using the money to get higher ranking in google searches in your area.
  13. quoting the 560xp manual... Engine adjustment The following steps should be taken when the chain saw is started for the first time or when outside circumstances change (fuel, altitude, air filter etc.): Start the engine. Accelerate the engine to full throttle and saw a number of cuts in a thick log (3-5 min.). The chain saw must be run (8,000 - 12,000 rpm) the entire time so that the carburettor can adjust itself.
  14. the youtube trap - i have lost many, many hours clicking through related video's.
  15. Jon - after last nights heavy wind and rain, this is what i woke up to. (oh and up yours Taupo - i'd have this anyday )
  16. Lockjacks are really good by all accounts, not as good at self tending, but they have other advantages i believe. (don't listen to me though, i've only used a SJ!)
  17. What about The Edwardstone White Horse Inn01787 211211 - News Good local draught beers, food, live music ...AND £5/night camping behind it! Camping - The Edwardstone White Horse Inn01787 211211 Only 3/4 miles from Sudbury
  18. Now reason to 'run it in'. They wouldn't put a saw out on the market that would be damaged in some way or wouldn't run as good if it hadn't been on tick over for a tank. Don't even fanny around with half throttle, just go for it. That's what I did with my 550 and it's fine. Oh, and take the spark arrestor out from the exhaust - a very noticeable difference on pickup speed and overall engine performance.

  20. Joke, right?
  21. Ok so just to confirm, Your Iveco 4x4 for my VW polo (it's got 132,000 miles, no central locking and the abs light is on which i think is an MOT failure by the way...) , and a 'big cheque'...... Done deal
  22. I don't have a Transit but could i interest you in an exchange with my 2000 W reg VW polo 1.4 ? Talk to me.
