  7. The horseflies are bad enough in the woods we work in! I was bitten on the arm by a couple of them and it swelled up to the point i looked like some kind of Popeye freak!

  10. well, granted this is based on a 5-10 year old opinion but they tend to have the worst craftmanship of the medium range bikes. they tend to be marketed as really upmarket bikes by halfords argos etc... for a bit more money Giant would be be a much better alternative however if you have owned one and been happy with it then fair enough... maybe they have bucked their ideas up edit: in response to j.hancock

  15. wow! very different from the assesments i took just weeks ago! the college tutors better mug up on these over the holidays!
  16. i just got a quote from tripp batt in stanton (between bury and diss) for a 12" 200t - £437 inc vat which is the best price around here. It's best to buy locally as the after sales support/service is good + you have to support your local companies in these hard times

  20. What do you usually end up doing on an unexpected day off? The boss is having trouble sorting out his tractor so i'm on a fully paid day off trouble is i WANT to work. (crazy i know)

  22. ok that makes sense. i should of thought of that. i couldn't use them - i was given some in a club once so i thought i would try them out but they kept falling out and after about 30 mins they came out all waxy! and as you said i can see the helmet wobbling about a fair bit
  23. In nearly all the videos and pictures I've seen of American tree surgeons, no-one has ear defenders whilst using a saw... Do you all have industrial strength ear drums??? I can't stand using a saw for longer than a few seconds without them....
