  8. A true black pop is Populus nigra subsp. 'betulifolia' They are also known as the Manchester pop, and there's still quite a few left in Salford and surrounding areas, in Liverpool too, awesome trees when mature:thumbup: Sent from my Galaxy S2
  9. Hi Dave, Yeh kids had loads of fun (I had more:001_tt2:), it was awesome and wish i could go back this year, america rocks! I'm back at Salford for 6 weeks on a temp contract, Phil's promised work in June so we'll see what happens. Hows the boat:biggrin:?

A lot of this happens where I work, I don't agree with it, it's the wrong way to manage trees and to call them "pollards" is also wrong (imo) They been topped "coz it's easy" and we wouldn't want any one busting a gut to do it properly now would we!   16. I'd go with slack on this, Bark is very Robinia like and does have pinnate leaves If it was an Ash (which i doubt) I'd go with Fraxinus angustifolia (narrow-leaved ash)

  19. Do you mean the rows and rows of trees down the side of Lake Geneva? Those are awesome trees only seen them once driving from geneva to chatel in france but they have stuck with me ever since:thumbup:

It's not just arb, it's the qcf levels Level 3 is a-level equivalent, level 4 foundation certificate, Level 5 foundation degree, level 6 is BSc and prof dip, level 7 is Masters level 8 is PhD At least thats how I think it is..   24. I'm just about to finish my 2nd year, finished the P&D module, waiting to do the exam and finishing off the last of the stupid (imo) business module assignments.
