  1. Get well soon mate,a week gone so it should pass soon! Drink plenty of water, little & often. If you can get some pomegranite juice do so,and a hot drink of lemon juice, water, and a good dollop of honey works wonders on the cough & throat.
  2. Big wood! What grinder do you have there, like the 'wings' on it.If you have a closer pic of it I might copy them for my old Dosco 691 sp.
  3. Hilux all day long, until you need a tipper with 4x4,narrow,minimum ground disturbance, and 30mpg. husky/stihl,erm..I run stihl, just because I do.( and an echo TS260).Timberwolf for me. They are all good compared to how things used to be,no matter the brand. But you cant knock a landy for its versatility & ability to still look good with the bumps & dents that a true working motor will get!
  4. Get a mini digger in & scoop out the slop,if youve a hard stony base under it,might get you through the winter if you can do this & cut a small drainage ditch to allow runnoff,or maybe Im not seeing something.
  5. Can you not use a couple of tapes/slings for foot holds, and steel cored flip line? If your near Maldon, could do you a deal on me &mewp.
  6. Good quality,wide angle,smooth take down!
  7. Hope the job all works out for you.
  8. Talk to your local council tree officer, You will need to put in an application to do the work you propose, takes 6-8 weeks to process at no cost. The deadwood part does not require the paperwork, but you will still need to talk to your tree officer about this. My advice would be to call in an arborist who will be familliar with the process,& the tree's requirements. It will be cheaper to have the work done by a pro than to even consider the qualifications you would require(you wont get them at nightschool)! The insurance costs would be more than the job ,then you have the climbing kit etc! But basicaly no work can be carried out without making an aplication, other than deadwooding. Hope this helps. Geoff.
  9. get over it first, then try tapeing a couple of the tree needles to your arm for a few minutes, see what happens. then try again for a bit longer if no reaction after a day or so. (ask doctor first about this,if he says its safe, try it). May have been something else that set it off.
  10. Stick a pallet on to under the cover aswell so they dont sweat(if you are sheeting over them.
  11. bet the occupants have good imune systems, could probably develope a universal broad spectrum inoculation from them, shame its too late for the dog!
  12. Think you do need 39, Step cut it, and or tie piece to another section with a short strop, cut, chainbrake, and lift the piece by the strop.handhold with the csaw is faster but eek!
  13. Sad news to hear, poor family.
  14. geoff

    sorry

Well done Steve, your time and efforts are apreciated,Thanks.
  15. Came here for a free saw and ended up evaluating me egotistical tendances, feel ripped off exposed and a deep loathing of 'too good to be true' offer threads!
  16. If the wood has been left in lengths,it won't be dry enough this winter. It needs to be cut to season as the moisture only realy evaporates from the end grain. Be careful not to outlay expecting to sell this season.
