  1. Isnt there security cords that if you cut gives off a extremely high Decibell alarm siren??? Its either that or chain the saws & electrify the tool box with warning signs on,lol. A lad i know pulled up in to a petrol station to fill up,He went in to pay & the cashier said what pump so he told her the shogun" she said what shogun" someone jumped in it & drove off. All his kit was inside & he was just off to run a trainning course. The police found the Shogun on a gypos site but never found the contents & the Insurance company would not pay out as he hadnt locked the doors when he went to pay.

  13. You have not said if your selling or buying roadside?,looking at the dia the thinnings could be sold for chip/pulp & also depends on the species of the trees as other people may have markets for different produce. A good way to find out is what the pulp/chip mills are paying at roadside & take it from there.
  14. Why dont you draw some up of your own,I did them for previous companies i have worked for. PUWER:all i put on these was make & model of machine/equipment a check list comprising of all the legal safety features etc,Any faults that you have found & any remedial works required to make fit for purpose. LOLER:Get a copy of your inspections sheets & copy the equipment down oneside & then have tick boxes for the days of the week,When you have used the kit tick which days you used it & if anything is not right make a comment stating what it is & the remedial work required to make fit for purpose at end of week. I hope this is of some help.
  15. To the best of my knowledge the research for the rigging is going to be published as the ACOP. I was informed of this by the guys at Treevolution when i did my LOLER course.
  16. Are the stems straight for saw logs?,as for the other timber you have other possible outlets like 8`2" & 6`2" Bars,Strainer posts,5`6" fence posts, Dunage along with the chip & pulp market. You have not said if you want to motor manual harvest it or use harvesters?
