  1. BFG mud terrains. The best grip and last forever.
  2. WOW!!!! Nice one Hama. Like stepping back in time. What a mental place...
  3. I ve got the adam freeland one playing now.....looking through the list really takes me back to the 90's!!
  4. Just been looking at that website. Blinding, Thanks for the link- just made my night!!
  5. That Billy Nasty was a classic, and the Paul Oakenfold was awesome too, from 1993.
  6. :001_huh:we used to have one maybe 2 logs smouldering away in a 12kw Woodwarm, to the point that it almost looked as if it had gone out, and it heated a huge, open-to-the-roof 40' square room, and another 40' square living room that was attached to this hall. It was roasting and we probably put a log on every few hours!!!

    Why not?

Great idea YOu could power a serious chipper with the 111hp of a defender, without the bodywork you could put a fairly hefty machine on there, and the whiole thing would be registered as a special vehicle (one that can only do one task, eg cherry pickers etc) so would be tax free and run on cherry. You can tow 3.5 tonnes behind a defender too. The only downside is that you would tie a defender up as nothing but a chipper......which IMO seems a bit of a waste......you could use a 90 though, as they are a waste of time anyway IMO.
  8. They arent that hard to get apart. I take the straps off and put them in the washing machine. Gonna try Stevie's freezer tip though. BTW- excellent thread title!
  9. Thats because that's exactly what it is.
  10. Yep. It started out as a 110 hi-cap, now it is a tipper. I think the fact that it is 3050kg gross and a 1995 vehicle meant that the taxation class wasnt changed- still comes as PLG.
  11. I think it would drive it, but will it be any advantage over the 36 given the reduced speed of the chain? (not saying that the chain would be that much slower, but that would be my concern)
  12. Does anybody know the flow rate, pressure and volume of the hydraulic flow to the feed roller on the deutz engined vermeer 935i? I think mine is underpowered, and I am having extraordinary difficulty getting through to B-Trac service dept.
  13. I would have a woodwarm. You can see them here, but they may not be contemporary enough for you. Having had quite a few stoves, i wouldnt use any others.
  14. Local log merchant to me uses a hilux d4d thing. Seems happy enough with it- but then as he says he doesnt need to go off road. I think the choice is really totota or what you had before from what I can tell. Cant your missus drive a defender? Mine drives a 12 ton lorry and she is only about 4'10" tall!
  15. But these are free on the counter at the local garden machinery shop:confused1:
  16. They're loveley, esp the apple one!
  17. TCD- didnt I cut 55 trees, sned and windrow the brash, each tree being 0.8 m3 per day back in the summer?
  18. Brake blocks for steam/ traction engines possibly. They use poplar but not sure which type.
