  1. Dean, i sincerely hope you havent got rid of your bandit for a TW?!?!
  2. Why?..........whats wrong with softwood......?
  3. After the amazing service back along from Stein and F R Jones, regarding a stein that p-ed water in, i have just put my replacement to the test climbing in fairly heavy but not constant rain for about 4 hrs.......sorry to report that i am soaked through. Gutted.
  4. The vito is a much nicer vehicle, just not as well built as the sprinter. I wouldnt turn my nose up at a vito any day.
  5. Absoloute f-ing balls mate. I have never heard such crap in all my life. VOSA are a bunch of ill informed jumped up ex security men and squaddies, who are very very far from experts in their field and are NOT, repeat NOT qualified vehicle examiners. You say exemptions are fair enough for the VOSA man getting wrong in the same paragraph as you say they are qualified to keep vehicles safe. IF they are in a position to slap draconian notices on vehicles at a vast cost to the owner for things as petty as a broken indicator repeater lens then they should know the letter of the law to the finest detail. A forum full of questions is a million miles away from someone in a position of responsibilty, safety making decisions and with the power to apply fiscal hardship on members of the public. The only good thing i have ever heard about VOSA is when one of their slimy good for nothing POS employees picked on the wrong lorry driver and was kicked all round the car park and had seveb shades beaten out of him and spent 6 months off work. They are scum who are little better than human GATS cameras. My missus has fallen foul of them at vast cost, and each time has had theur findings quashed at the plating station, who basically said whati have just written. VOSA have to justify their existence by nabbing enough drivers, which explains a hell of a lot to me. VOSA......tosser
  6. they already make a 4x4 sprinter.....and the sprinter is a far better built machine than the vito..
  7. Absoloute class....... I pay about 250 a year for my tipper landy with the missus on the policy.
  8. VOSA is made up from ex security guards and coperrs etc, and need to make enough money to justify their continued existence. They are essentiall y a private company, and from experience and anecdotal evidence dont know the extent of the law they preach. They also have now power whatsoever, which is why they have coppers with them. Tell them to show you the statutes of law and they are 99% of the time lost. They work on intimidation and a blind rust in the fact that most motorists are as confused, if not more, than they are by the plethora of laws, byelaws and amendments which have created so many loopholes and contradictions. Your best bet if you disagree is to let it go to court, where in most cases no further action is taken.
  9. Yeah despite my earlier comment, mine is problem free, with one serious breakdown in 7 years.......with a healthy fiscal policy of uber-investment too:lol:
  10. Sorry to derail...just a quick question Stu, whats the box on the front of the mog for?
  11. Haha I know what you mean:001_rolleyes:.....6!! You poor bugger:laugh1:I have had 5, but one at a time is plenty thanks!
  12. This is a pretty nice machine allround. I have used it working with Dave, and it seemed very good. Good luck with the sale mate.
  13. I agree mate.......its throwing good money after bad. If there are a couple or even 1 decent tree in there then leave, but TBH clear the lot and restart sems the best and most economical idea....
  14. You broke the cardinal rule of landrover ownership..........get squeaks and rattles investigated/ sorted ASAP, or they can become very pricey....
  15. Feel free to drop in mate, kettles always on. You must get to the trengilly wartha, mentioned on the website, its a nice pub.
  16. Horizontal, its about a 7x8 opening.
  17. The pther thing about that shed is that there is no concrete going in the ground, and the legs are just held at the bottom, so it is essentially just sat there unanchored. This makes it a temporary building helping planning, which we could get away with as it is such a sheltered spot so there are no wind issues.
  18. Nice. Thanks for posting them.
  19. Thats interesting Ian, as the WORST that can happen with a landy tdi engine is that 4 valves get bent....what lump was in the disco?
  20. Top pics mate. Are they all your tractors and huge logs? Where are you based, and what do you do with those huge logs?
  21. Oh yeah....back to your original question......most of the area round Gweek and the whole helford area is covered in the oak that Deakin talks of. You can experience the woodlans all over the south coast in the fowey- falmouth area, trees reaching rigt down to the water. it is stunning. Feel free to get in touch, but i would be fairly confident that your mate who forages would know anway.....i wonder if i know him?
