  3. yeah we did think of them i know they do chippers, we only live a few miles from the lemner one, granddad gunna pop in this week, just wanted to see if anything else was out there cheers im not sure how they are planning on doing it, when she brought their builder round to have a look he said he wanted the stumps out, so thats the plan
  4. am i the only person who doesnt like climbing helmets? i dont like wearing my vertex really, so its only on for the least amount time possible, as soon as im out of the tree, the husky forestry helmet is on

  6. Alright guys I was wondering if anyone in the hereforshire area hires out their stump grinder? Got a few old conifer stumps that need doing up at mums house as her landlord is going to put us a concrete pad down to park on Cheers guys
  7. you can get a clear plastic visor to go inplace of the mesh one on the husky/balance helments, they had them at college, there alright, i prefered them to the mesh visor

  10. you had problems with insurance, so you mounted it at the back, and a heavy duty bumper at the front? Why would it make a difference where its mounted, its still classed as a modifcation? That looks like an awesome tool mate! Esspecially like the anchor! I take it its removeable as you cant see the number plate

I just bought a couple of meters and made a few up of various lengths and see what felt best Gunna buy a few meters of a few types of accessory cord when i have some money , and have a go with each, having only climbed on silverstreak i wanna see what others are like Alright jonesie, never used shrink wrap before what do you need to heat it up with? cheers

  14. yeah man!!! old kit all the way Eardisland/Pembridge area, half the kit pictured is my grandads the other half is my cousins, i work a few days a week with each of them nicee! the second pic is the barony forwarder training area? am i right? wouldnt forget those rough old logs, was thinking to myself when i was up there they needed to get some fresh in aha

  17. agreed ripper 37's are awesome having a weld fail would only be like having an old saw snap? just makes a loud bang and then get on with it aha back when granddad was a saw doctor he used to gas weld saws together, i would love to learn how to do that, just to have another string to my bow ahaha, got some cool paper work he gave me all about this sort of stuff, i'll scan it in sometime
