  1. Good luck!
  2. It's at invergordon, north of inverness
  3. We bank with the Co-Operative...... FREE business banking, and they seem very very good as far as customer service etc. Another plus point is that you can bank with your local post office, which are open until 5.30pm up here which fits in nicely with working hours.
  4. I have just sold willow brash and logs at roadside for £22.50 per ton for biomass. I also know a local forrester who was loading an arctic today with old brash matts from a clearfell for which he is getting 22.75 a ton! Collected. Our local plant is about an hour and a half drive away for a lorry
  5. I couldn't comment on the meat damage caused I'm afraid....
  6. So would my .270 shooting 90gr ballistic tips! Not that you could shoot it into the air, but hypothetically speaking, it would do a very good 'job' of it.
  7. 20, 12 or .22... all good choices
  8. No..... just cats!
  9. Contact Nigel Manley at Balcas, he's their buyer based in Ireland... Not sure where your nearest balcas plant is but he'd be worth talking to.
  10. I would have shot the cat, that would have got it down quickly... I could have even offered a choice of calibers for the RSPCA to choose from!
  11. These all seem low prices... We can sell branchwood here for 29 a ton over the weighbridge at Balcas!
  12. Hmmm, having had a thought about this I wonder if it was 45 per cubic metre... I'll check it though as I have some elm I need a price on too.
  13. As far as I am aware, a hoppes foot is 15 inches x 15 inches square, and last time I looked for prices from buyers for English Oak it was £45 per hoppes foot. Hope this helps. Where about is the wood located?? I know a buyer looking for oak at the moment..
  14. Contact Balcas or Kronospan.. you should get around £30 a ton over the weigh bridge for it
  15. Dean, Speak to Cameron at Trust Insurance regarding your plant insurance for the loader.. Trust Insurance offer a 'New for Old' insurance policy, especially for machinery like chippers, loaders etc. The premium is slightly more expensive per annum but still extremely competitive. For example, my tracked chipper is insured new for old.. if it is stolen or FUBAR'd (technical term) then it's insurance value is around 12k presently, however in this eventuality it would be replaced with a brand new one of the same model which is currently worth 30k ish. The insurance for this is around £400 a year but I feel well worth it. They also do specialist vehicles like tippers, and fleet policies if you have three vehicles not sure if they do new for old on vehicles though. Worth a call anyway mate.. I have found Trust to offer much better value for money compared to NFU.. similar prices on premiums but you get more for your money with Trust. If you speak to Cameron, tell him Matt O'Brien put you in touch and i'm sure he'll look after you.
  16. I'll stay away from it then... Powersliding in the snow with the MB last year was good fun...
  17. I'm looking forward to it.. just hope our MB has the balls to push it along.. we get some quite heavy snowfall up here!
  18. Haha, yes... I think I might take out some extra insurance because we might need it!!! Can't wait to have a go with this thing, it will be an experience for sure!
  19. Cheers guys! Think we've come up trump... was offered a BIG snow plough for sale this afternoon by another local firm... looks like we'll have some serious MB snow ploughing kit on the go this winter!
  20. Just spoke to Withams, they haven't got any in
  21. Witham's maybe?? I'll check them out anyway.. cheers mate.
  22. Gatecrash my thread will ya!!!!! grrrr! We're after a BIG plough to put on the front of our MB for clearing forestry roads to let harvesting contractors into site during the winter.
  23. Not sure if this is the right place to list this or not.. WANTED for upcoming project: Large single blade snow plough - condition unimportant. Please e-mail [email protected]
  24. Search engine optimisation is the key part mate... google has some good articles on it
  25. Know it well. Some of my guys are on a saw course at invershin next week actually. I was up your way a couple of times last month to do a sidings clearance at Lairg and a Wayleave clearance at culrain, will give you a shout next time we're up... We were staying at the invershin hotel.
