  1. Incidentally, if anybody has a front linkage kit for a MB Trac 1000, that they do not require me to take out a mortgage to purchase, please get in touch!
  2. How can you trade without terms and conditions? IMO, T & C's are vital, as all parties know where they stand.
  3. Well I promised some photos, so here you go..
  4. The engine will be pricey... and the crane even more so. Sounds like an interesting piece of kit, and would certainly be good if working. I would have thought for the money it will cost you, you'd be better off removing the crane entirely, and buying a standard timber crane on a 3pl. As for the engine, try Atkinson Vos, Park Agri, AC Price etc. You may also get a nice surprise from your local Mercedes dealer once in a while. Good luck with her!
  5. Hi,

    Thanks for your message..

For second hand MB Trac parts, you will often struggle to get them, however some of the usual suspects are:

eBay - eine der größten deutschen Shopping-Websites - German Ebay, Google will translate it all to English for you

JAS P Wilson - I doubt they will have anything useful for you as they dont tend to break MB's

Atkinson Vos - Well worth a call, often have second hand parts

AC Price - Again, Unimog Dealer but often do parts for the MB's

Park Agri - Unimogs mostly again, but probably the best selection of used parts, and often the most helpful on the phone for diagnosis of problems

Be warned, even used second hand parts can be very expensive.. I love my MB to pieces but holy hell she's an expensive girl to fix!

Out of interest, what model MB have you got??

  6. I can just imagine how that would happen... Split second decisions are always a bit chancy I guess but that's what we do.. I hope it heals well and fast mate. One of my brothers put an angle grinder with a 0.8mm slitting disk through his hand in November and has had to have allot of internal stitching etc - he's off work until February as he severed all his tendons. From speaking to him he assured me it was smarting allot and I can imagine yours will be the same. here's hoping a speedy recovery!
  7. We've moved Stevie.. we're at the gatehouse at Kinveachy now
  8. Photos will follow shortly... wont be getting the car for another fortnight
  9. Wowsers that looks sore!! Best of luck for Thursday... how did you manage to do that catching a branch?
  10. When I realised there was no money in tree work!!! ahahaha!
  11. 2.7 Tiptronic!! Remote controlled by my right foot
  12. Porsche Boxster... Well will be once i've paid for it
  13. IF I had 100k SPARE, or given or whatever, I would probably look to build and invest into a new business in an entirely separate and unrelated industry, or even two new businesses rather than having all eggs in one basket. Failing that, I'd invest in carbon credits at pre IPO or use the 100k as venture capital.
  14. It's important with leaflets to get the spelling right!
  15. lol! No it's not... not even in the same county!
  16. Fraid not Stevie.. I didn't even realise the up righting was being videoed until one of the groundsmen showed it to me.. I'll ask him if he videoed the fell as well. I put the felling cuts into it with my 880 as my 341 had hit a nail and was blunt, but loosing daylight I took the big fella to her.
  17. Never tried anything like that with blown trees before.... worked a treat!
  18. It's not a great video quality, but it was a pretty hard pull to get her started, the angle was quite shallow, so she took some persuasion.
  19. We felled it Mike... right back over itself... It's not a mog!!! it's an MB Trac... she's a nice big butt plate on the back for anchorage. What you can't see in the video is the size of the root plate.. lots of counterweight there to help her back upright.
  20. Nope.... old fashioned power on the winch and a bit of thought on where to place the cables
  21. Hi Guys, Haven't posted much up for a while, but thought I would share today's job with you..
