  4. A nice bourbon for me
  5. Sequioa's your best harness for best price. Treemotion for life though me
  6. Hey folks, Does any one know the average volume of a 50m rope bag in L, or how many Litres 50m equates to roughly? Thanks folks.
  7. Ive spliced up some DE, easy peasy, lots of room inside the cover for the buries.
  8. covers same bro cores different, op-poly, ov-vectran. should have been clearer sorry folks
  9. That looks good, ring redirecting line would help a load i reckon! DBtree bags, When they hitting the uk market bro? Getting tired of my silverbull bag collapsing storing my srt line and no shoulder straps so need a new one soon, and no chance i'm bailing my sherrill bag out a tree aha! They stand up well bro? i'm assuming they do!
  10. 6mm OV has exactly same cover construction/materials as OP but as matt said, its core dependant. OP-class1 OV(6mm stuff)-class2 Simples
  11. nice work! Cool to know it comes in both now. let the colour coding commence!
  12. Best wishes and speedy recovery! All the best
  13. 45lb/ft or 61nm i believe.....
  14. Limited... At this point in time only space for 1 more. Can't have 30's of us trooping around Shame its somewhere i'd love everyone to go at least once in their life.
  15. Josh, i'm trying to do it mega cheap cause i'll be there for 3 months and its going to be a financial struggle so hotels, fancy game lodges are out the question.... its not real africa anyway!! I need to speak to Drew on what he's got in mind as far as destinations etc as this could change my idea's drastically.. I'm going to try and budget on £1500-2k ex flights for 2-3weeks. That's based on 4x4 hire (kitted out camping wise), fuel, camping costs (wild camp were possible) and food and drink. I receive the final list of trees on roughly 19th Dec so planning will kick in properly and i can get a better idea for you. Hopefully we can reduce costs by borrowing 4x4s etc etc. Accommodation in cape town/joburg will most likely cost you a 6 pack of beer as friends will put us up where they can. Its to early to give an exact estimate yet sorry!
  16. Ian, Dates are looking around first two weeks on Jan '13. Drop me an email bro....
  17. The hall where I live has been burgled several time lately, Only the safe taken from the office, they know exactly where they are going.... It was stolen again on monday. Except it wasn't. The manager found new safe location and replaced the office one with a brick, dog turd and a screw you note! I wish I could see there faces when they opened it. Needless to say police doubt anyone will be caught! Farm manager woke up a few months back to find all saws, welder, quad etc etc etc lined up at the yard gate. Looks like they had emptied the fuel tanks and had planned to come back for the kit.
  18. fingers crossed
  19. I brought one a while back because i like things tidy so prefer splices over knots. It hasnt let me down, worth the money well kind off.. They are great bits of kit but so dear... I'm splicing now so just going to splice my own with my preferred rope/cord when its needs replacing the hardware will be reused of course. Works very well srt and dbrt. Easy to put together by individually buying the hardware. Like i said i brought it before i could splice as i'm ocd about splices haha! I dont regret it. make what you will of that
  20. Those that are interest please email me from your preferred account to, [email protected]. I will email all details in a round robin so everyones kept up to speed. Had very good responses from officials, press and organisations so looking very promising so far!
  21. All i can find is on the net, not a vast amount... h2g2 - The Ten Biggest South African Tree Species DAFF - Sustainable Forestry - Champion Trees Tallest trees in Africa climbed: Eucalyptus saligna & E. regnans - EUCALYPTOLOGICS: GIT Forestry Consulting Information Resources on Eucalyptus Cultivation Worldwide no real good photos, i'm hoping to change that obviously.
  22. A massive thank you to ROVER. After posting up a note on 192ts mines on the way, Rover kindly faffed and fought to get it during his holiday. Thank you so much! Nice to know people like that are still around, did it for no personal gain what so ever. Thanks Rover! Thanks AT!
  23. Steve!!, your my right hand man, of course your coming! Just get back from the rest of the world and give us a hand with the planning hahah! Hope you and the better half still having fun exploring. Lotsa love! Drew, will start putting it together as soon as information starts trickling in, be good of could be worked into Congo trip.
  24. What you got on bro? Where abouts in WA? Must admit i've spent months at a time driving around, still only managed southern africa. West africa may aswell be another world. Good tip on the spare kit, a mates so excited because he lives "so close" to one of the trees, 4 hours drive!!! In african terms that's just the paper shop trip for some people!! So he'll want to climb!

    Advice needed.

HC+ ultra O's... sublime. Almost looses its greatness if used with other biners. My opinion only
