  9. no bother mate, i am handing the quote in tomorrow as a draft and the lawyers are going to redo it where necessary and get back to me. thanks again:001_smile:
  10. me and my fat pal looked at these at the apf, the only reason we stopped at the stand is because its where we were in the que for the coffee. it looked pretty cool, and my large pal made a couple of comments how this could encourage him to get his arse back up a tree, when we asked how much. (and remember how miserable us scottish chaps are) the gentleman lowered his dickturpin mask put his sword away and told us 4kplus vat. after ripping the shite out of him and encouraging most of our like minded buddys in coffee stand to aswell, we continued on our merry way.
  11. did your lecturer come out of a cupboard smelling of alcohol before he had the courage to come out with those awesome pieces of advice.
  12. is that the card regarding your tax, if so just tell them to put a letter with your cheque saying that they are not liable for your tax contributions, and sign it.
  13. my safety guy got me them about 4 years ago. they were only 20quid for the folder and contents. as long as you have your other stuff they corrispond with then you are laughing, but i am sure you could do some adapting if you wanted to. you dont need the folder but i like it, and you can take the a5 to the printers to copy. but for 20 quid i have never bothered.
  14. hi rich, my email is [email protected]

thanks, still in the enquiry stage about these alpine tractors so any info helps

    cheers stevie

  15. no probs here, just always used the closest. hope you get the problem and saws fixed.
  16. like the new avatar stocks, the last one scared me. but you still look as if someone has stolen the jam out your donut.
  17. post a scan, the only scans i have are of my 2 boys lol i took a photo of it today. (you will need to excuse the next bit incase i get too technical for you)you need the big folders with all the bumf about all your kit and safety stuff in them, then you get the wee blue folder with the a5 rip offs that corispond with the other stuff. i only do domestic stuff, but my mate has some massive contracts with councils and fc and he has never had any probs with this system.
  18. hi mate, i have been selfemployed now for over 10 years, i have never had more than 2 weeks work infront of me in all that time, i love the challenge of finding work and money everyday. but it is hard trying to keep your chin up some times and in the past i have wanted to just chuck it and run away, if you are hard working, honest and keen you will be fine mate. there is still money out there its just trying to get it, even today i went scavinging down the beach for firewood in the tractor. i have given thousands of tons of the stuff away for years but now i am selling it.not getting much for it but it is still something, get out there and be seen. even sticking your name and phone number on a jacket with tree surgery on it helps. stay positive and something will come up:001_smile:
  19. when i saw your crown reduction john i was about to throw my saws off the pier, what a finish. now i know it was some fancy computer gizmo lol very interesting reading, and almost everyones inputs were a joy to read.
  20. stronger than before you brace it or stronger than when it was at its healthiest. And if it does fail after being braced, who is responsible?
  21. how does it work with your insurance?if you brace something and then it snaps and damages something or the tree fails anyway, even if you have done everything in the book. are you responsible?
