  1. I would reckon Arb charges iro 3 times what timber contractors do. Are we talking assisted directional fell vs volume production? There are also wild variations in timber winching rates. I can think of one who will charge £150/day and produce 40m3/day and another who will charge £350/day and produce 200m3/day in the same size timber. The latter contractor recently pulled 600m3 in 3 days for me; average 1.3m3 sticks pre-felled. Do the math, that's superbly cost effective. Slight machinery advantage tho; excavator based winch vs tractor 3pl winch. Chalk and cheese.
  2. £1.83/tonne not including labour/driver or low loader transport. Just fuel and maintenance / repairs inc Vat. Said repairs fairly major cost wise shouldn't be repeated for many years inc cab glass, bogie repair, hose swivels.
  3. If you think that is nonsense, you've simply lost it.
  4. Risk Zone at 1:59?! Good job tho, what mulcher is it please?
  5. Tony Blair announces his return to politics - and hints at starting a new anti-Brexit movement
  6. Oxdale are an embarrassment. Don't buy that either. Ill thought out, bird poop weld, overpriced.
  7. I was recently advised to stick with my 578 Bruunett and not be tempted by the more troublesome 678. Have to say that makes sense. Running costs of my Bruunett have been astronomically low... I'll do a cost per tonne...
  8. Like I said, haulage has been a snag. I'll ring you in the week:thumbup1:
  9. Point taken but I'm flippin busy at the moment. The wood like I said above was spoken for, thanks to this but transport has knackered a few peeps up; several have given up. Sorry I missed you... I'm juggling a number of interested folks and I hate admin! Are you in Launceston?
  10. Sorry, hoped it was sorted until haulage quote to go hardly anywhere was nearly £3k!!! Will check pm...
  11. PTO Tractor mounted Log Splitter 13 tonne | eBay
  12. Interesting. I'm putting 30+ tdub larch roadside at present but it's all sold, people fighting over it in fact. It is definitely a rare timber now, post PR. Thought it hadn't reached Scotland in a big way tho?
  13. Decided on a Splitfire. But x2 ££££ for pto version. Have to save a little longer.
  14. Same as any other day, back on PR larch tho. Tight site, moderately steep, decent sticks average 1.3m3 each.
  15. Same dilema! 856!!! PTO pump only. Splitter I want, it makes a £1k machine become £2k.
  16. Bugger yer pint. All love our nation, my arse. With clearly enough people, on here, let alone elsewhere, ready to roll out the red carpet for them...
  17. Appeaser. You're as much the terrorist for not seeing the hell is going on and sympathising with what you do see.
  18. You idiots who keep going on about hatred (favourite word of the moment in lefty land); you are basically saying that Churchill vs Hitler was hatred vs hatred. Absolute plonkers.
  19. Kinell. Absolutely put your brains on the alter of political correctness or what. Confronted?!!! That's not confrontation, that's blatent acceptance, admiration and giving in. When they get around to raping your Wife and beheading your children, you go ahead a light another candle. And this is the problem. Politicians rely on the electorate having a poor memory. Islam relies on a gradual desensitisation to their methods. Clearly in evidence here.
  20. Absolutely no idea! Nor how much it would cost in Pounds, Shillings and Sixpence.
