You could have bought a Screwfix special for £99 without the rebuild time involved and warranty. Flogging a dead horse comes to mind; first post says you can't afford new, several posts later annoyance at what it owes you and the grief of it. Pay cheap, pay twice. Rule of life.

That Timberliner looks alright but never knew they made a purpose built, only trailers; must be very rare, parts availability would worry me.

I viewed an 840 black cab ('97 with 17000 hrs for £11k; everything had been done on it except the tyres and tracks which would basically need changing immediately. Pump broke and it was laid up for over 6 months. Never collected it in the end. Shame. So, £10-15k. Rightly or wrongly, 820's make more.

Interesting points re the 840. Lovely size machine imo (black cab that is or TX now) 820 steering the same and infuriating inrespo trying to dock the crane on the front rest with the seat turning; was an art trying to sync it. Irrelevant on bunk mounted 840 obv soz.

Seem to have a well embedded bug in the PC; googled US presidents a week or so ago and landed all sorts of crazy programs. Ran all my own Anti-virus yada yada yada, also tried E-set online scanner which finds the infected file but not long afterwards crashes... Avast does nothing. Any advice or recommended progs to decontaminate? Many thanks.
