  1. Yep 15inch fine, as the idea of the course is you being able to fell a tree double the size of your guide bar. Its a good course, most enjoyable out of all the nptc's ive done.
  2. Total stab in the dark, hand guard off a stihl hedge trimmer? Got me abit puzzled this one...
  3. haha, its no wonder my mates all think im abit of a nerd lol
  4. Chainbreak handle, connecting to the sidecover?
  5. Bottom of the pull start handle, where it sits in the side case?
  6. Crikey, that is abit harder. Il have a stab at a fuel tank, with the top right showing a quick release cap?
  7. I was sat on the train this morning and there was this really stunning Thai girl sat opposite me, i kept saying to myself, dont get an erection, dont get an erection. But she did.
  8. Top post. Fairplay for climbing that... Skyhuck will be proud
  9. If you mean going straight into the assesment without training then no, you wont pass. But if you mean your going to have some training, then assesment, then yes, you wont be the first person to do that without no experience. Alot of people will be in your position...
  10. We had a chain that limited how low the arms would drop, it was fixed up by the top arm i think, then down onto the arms. Then when we dropepd the chipper it always sat at the correct height.
  11. Hows it going in portugal mate?
  12. Will the bottom tray not just unbolt? We unbolted it on our old tp, was an older chipper than yours though.
  13. Guess you tried letting tyres down, and engaging lowest gear possible, super crawler if you have it. I have found by using a very slow gear they can pull themselves out. Also by doing this you can jump out the cab and see whats happening whilst wheels are turning. Failing that, biggest tractor you can find and a tow rope lol
  14. log splitter/ woodprocessor on eBay (end time 22-Jan-11 21:24:47 GMT) Be interesting to see what it goes for, the seller may have missed a trick by not putting "hakki pilke eagle" into the main heading. But im sure it will still make good money.
  15. We had one around here, as soon the local paper had a write up about it, it was found shot dead.
  16. I was kinda lucky when it came to my cs31, and seemed to take to it well. The two things i would suggest though, is see where your assesor stands when they fell a tree, get them to scuff the ground were they place there feet, and then make sure you stand in exactly the same spot. Its amazing how much easier things feel in the right posistion. Also as others have said, just go slow. Take however long you need on your gob, just nibble away till its correct. Then go slow with your back cut, i tend to pull the saw out towards me slightly now and again, to get a better idea of how the bar is lying in the cut, and again, just nibble away. Good luck.
  17. Push it against your leg to disengage, then tap it against your leg to engage it again
  18. Looks like its bunny burgers for tea
