  1. Good work as usual Dadio. Whilst i do not agree with everything that you do, you do put forward a good arguments/ discussion about felling and climbing. This gets everyone talking which can only be a good thing Keep them comming.
  2. Spent the day 'skating' in bendy ash over caravans. Everything is soaked and smelly.
  3. I have used the full lenght of my 45m rope on a couple of times in the last year or so. Both times i have been very glad that i had it. Most of the time i use 2 20m ropes, and find they are plenty .
  4. What is the basket thing on the top for ? Keep your snacks in.
  5. The base of the leaf is offset like Elm, but with a fruit like that, it rules out Elm. In short i have know idea

  10. That is going to need some substantial footings, or it will sink with the first load of cord. Looks like it will do the job
  11. I know what you mean now, i got mine from a car boot sale, but that is probably not much help. The wire has an annoying habit of flipping off when you first start pulling in the slack, but once you get the knack they work well.
  12. Don't forget common cow wheat, ramsons, wood rush, soloman's seal. And there is one type of grass that only grows in woodlands, i can not for the life of me remember its name. More to follow when i remember
  13. P.S. i use the line that is between the end of the spring and the attached metal bit. (under the 3/4" mark)
  14. From what i can remember i would say that is tensioned about right, bear in mind it was a year ago that i last changed a blade on a lumber mate.
  15. All those features look good, but given the nature of forestry work which is not gentile on machinery, there is alot to go wrong. How do they compare price wise with Riko ?
  16. What do you do with, and how do you use the sand o flex ? They look like something for removing winnits.
  17. Timeless comedy, it will still be funny in 100 years time
  18. Don't worry, i priced it at £650 per hectare, and did not get it, WOO HOO. Once i saw what was involved, 10-15' trees, lots of branbles, knee deep holes filled with water and smelly slime, and waist high stumps every where.......... Anyone else tempted.
  19. Got mine today, the mic function works well, definitely not a gimmick. Best £25 i have spent since the arb show
  20. Matte is the M word you are looking for, here is a close up. I thought he was toking on a bong when i drove out of the wood and saw it for the first time.
