  1. One is assuming that there will be some kind of tent that is selling drinks of a beery nature ?
  2. That would fit in nicely with my collection of old clapped out machinery. I want it,I want it,I want it,I want it. BUT THE WIFE SAYS NO, BOOOOOO
  3. How are we going to regcoginise each other ?
  4. It is a bit like a bowline, but it can slide so therfore adjustable without undoing the knot. However the knot can rupture the sheath of the rope, so it is not used much.
  5. More fiddley to tie and set than the ordinary bowline, but much more secure. However once the ordinary bowline is tied the rope will break before the knot, do we need to be any more secure than that !
  6. Good knot, with very little sit back. I have now switched from VT to the Michoacan because of the lack of sit back. I use Tenex 9mm for the knot, which works very well.
  7. I like the last two, of the fir log converted into a caravan.
  8. Not heard of this knot, and it is knot in my ultimate encylopedia of knots, so it may be or may not be a sod to undo.
  9. Nice, not a sod to undo
  10. Nice, but can be a sod to undo
  11. I have got a clapped out tractor, and a clapped out land rover, WHY would i want something that modern, and not clapped out ? :001_tt2:
  12. i like these: Trees Pop Art Stein by ultrapopart| CafePress.co.uk
  13. This would be mine. Welcome to MOD Sales Online - Military Vehicles for Sale - Ex MOD Land Rovers for Sale - #14694 - Bedford 4x4 MJ Atlas Crane truck
  14. £60 until you have proved your worth, then £61. Only kidding, I would say that a man of your experience is worth £90 a day. But i will have to take your word for how good you are.
  15. With a bit of tinkering, i think that you will a good buy there, particularly if you add some scaffold poles for bolsters you will be able to carry a tidy load.
  16. i alway have a first lucky throw, and if that does not work then it normally take about twenty minutes to get the branch that i want. If all else fails i resort to the bag of rods with the hook!
  17. Any bird that has such a fine/ ludicrous courtship gets my vote.
  18. Left school with one CSE Spent six years working in a camping shop. Saw an advert in a surfing mag for a degree course, was given an unconditional offer, which was handy as i had no qualification. Left college with a 2:2 Worked as a volunteer with Cornwall wildlife trust, where i got my chainsaw tickets. Got a job in Dorset, met my wife. Moved to Pembrokeshire, got a job with Tillhill doing powerline clearance, then made redundant. Looked after children for 18 months. Started a partnership which lasted 5 years before we went our seperate ways. Now working on my own, with help from various Arbtalk members.
  19. Austria duo one, which i don't like.
  20. Here thats posh, what is it called Pluckingham Palace.
  21. What volume is there, and is it road side with good access ?
  22. That would be heaven for my chickens !
  23. It will look even better if you take off the snorkle !
  24. Practice practice practice, and experience. During your breaks work out the volume of what you have cut. If it is logs the following formular is pretty accuarate: pie* Diameter squared/40000 * Length. If you are felling and snedding Table 11, page 112-113 in the forestry measurement book will give you whole tree volumes. Between these two i have managed without getting bogged down, which is good as i is only a bear of very simple brain. Good luck
