  1. Nice on Justin, just registered - looking forward to it, and getting chance to drink some ale with you guys as I couldnt manage the trade fair!!
  2. Its difficult to drive down the road with just an engine and geerbox as everything else has dropped off or broken, and the chip ends up spilling all over the road!
  3. It will probably do you for 12 months - I dont think they are designed for the abuse arborists give them. We brought one cheap at the start of a contract and it gradually self imploded, ended up buying a transit 12 months later and sold the LDV for scrap . Lost £3k in a year as it had no resale value!!
  4. I got askes to take the leader from a stag headed Oak tree, when I got to the end of the live growth I found a rusted old bow saw about a third of the way through, someone years ago had obviously decided to give it a bit of a reduction, got the saw stuck then left it!
  5. I had the usual 8 hours ish as went to bed about 9.30pm so not tired or worried. I was looking forward to a bit more of a casual day, ended up sat staring on here for the first hour waiting for the first member to join then sorted the banking out online!
  6. if you cant get it in hit it with a hammer, if it brakes it didnt fit anyway!
  7. Its Saturday morning, got a day off as family are coming down for the weekend to see the baby. 5am wide awake my mind doing summersaults itching to get on with something. Anyone else struggle to sleep when you can get a long awaited lie in?!
  8. Where does Kylie get her kebabs from? Jasons Donnervan!
  9. If you can find enough work for it for a week you will get it even cheaper!
  10. I'm sure there is a gag about that excess bit of material behind your toe being you - but I'm not going there!
  11. I was wandering how long it would be for a bite!! Boots are soooooo comfortable!!
  12. Yep They are Peltor, not had a pair before and people dont rate them too highly but we'll see - only brought them cos I heard Flourecent was in fashion!
  13. Its suprising how dry parts of the inside of a chip pile can be which will drop your weight a fair bit. Cant you do it by the Cube?
  14. Apart from sawdust in the eyes, sore neck, repeatitive strain through dodging falling branches and having to climb up anyway when a limb you thought you might just reach twists and sticks the bar!!
  15. I got him a Petzl, which is pricey enough for a part time trainee!
  16. These arrived today courtesy of Justin - Thank you! Cant believe I nearly missed these off the list : Meindl Air stream size 9: £120 Stein Helmet inc muffs and clear visor: £30 BARGAIN!!
  17. More like big brother! ...you forgot to mention while you were working oh so hard it was on the wrong tree so we didnt actually earn a penny!
  18. Dont think you'll be getting any tips from todays job Joe!
  19. Its ok when you can get in 3 or 4 of those £150-£200'ers in a day but there isnt the quantity of them. Maybe the third quarter of the year will pick up alittle in the domestic market
