  1. Good news on the money raised - well done! I didnt win, which means my Stein hat cost me a tenner!
  2. Monkeys Armpit buns wernt they Stevie?! I brought nothing apart from some raffle tickets from the AT stand and far too many beers! Got a free timberwolf t shirt and stein hat though
  3. picture quality is poor Deano, that T shirt almost looks pink in the picture! Going on what I saw Huck drink: White Wine Pear Cider John Smiths Lager Worthingtons Titanic (which went down well!) ...plus rum and coke on his excursion! and the fact he puked coffee all over me this morning, I have no idea

If you have pullies you can tie it off in the base and feed the rope through pullies tied in at intervals, if they break out they will snatch on the next one - by then the tree should be going in the direction you want anyway. Or, depending on the canopy you could feed the rope over and through the fork you would be tying in at and down the back of the tree and tie it off near the base on the opposite side your pulling from. If the top breaks out the rope should slip into the next fork and you can continue to pull.

  10. Rob Dyer came over today with Bob to collect the timber for the milling demo at the APF, that lorry has done over 3 million miles apparently!!

  15. The quote is nothing like what we are doing though Paul, When we quoted they wanted some reductions, we arrived this morning and the woman told us to fell them all to hedge height!
  16. It certainly does Deano!, we had the 7.5t on the road but all the chip stayed on site so it didnt really matter. We only chipped in the back to try and keep the site a bit tidier.

  20. Felling 5 Ash trees plus an Oak to lift and rebalance. 2 of the trees have been felled and the weight has been taken off the back of the remaining 3 using the MEWP. Back tomorrow to drop the other 3 into the field. Nice job, all chip and timber to stay on site (Some lovely firewood!)
