  1. Scott CR1. Not the ultimate in modern machines but it's my first carbon frame and tbh I could never go back to anything less now. It'd be like going back to prussiking after using the VT...... 18Ilbs and really responsive, loving it. Stuff yer mountain bikes. Anyone else into road bikes ?

Martyn, we are talking about old boy's in their 40's who also suffer from tennis elbow and a whole host of other physical ailment's accumulated through years of hard graft and training for one thing and another. I admire your zest but wonder if you will still be at it in another twenty years or so.
  9. Wrist straps, they take away the strain of gripping and let you concentrate all your energy on hitting the lats.

  15. Richard is reallly professional, thorough, extremely knowledgeable and loves tree's, you'd get on like a house on fire with him Tony. BTI was good, bit of classroom work in the morning, slideshow with plenty of pics and a few pointers on the legal side of things etc etc, then some basic inspections at the training area and then off to Knole Park for a guided tour. Given me a taster for it so it has. Happy birthday you old buzzard....
  16. This all I can find Lantra and NPTC approved Tree Surgery Training Courses | Kingswood Training - Tree Inspection Did the basic one day course today, worth doing imo. Now I want to do the PTI course.
  17. I think you can expect to pay about a oner a day Lorry. I might be wrong but either way it's better to get it out of the way now cos things are only gonna go up.

Try these Lantra and NPTC approved Tree Surgery Training Courses | Kingswood Training - Chainsaw Training, Arb Training, Climbing Courses, Forestry Courses I'm doing the one day this Friday with an attendance certificate at the end of it then I think Richard (the owner of Kingswood) said I can do the three day course in July or August. Not exactly sure what he said but it'd be worth calling him to find out.

  24. My mate Plippy will take your place. He weighs in at 16.5 stone atm but is having an arse reduction at the end of of the month and hopefully he'll scrape in at the desired weight.
