  4. Then start by getting a s/gun cert, no force can deny you that unless you have convictions, and even if you do they may be overcome with a good solicitor on your case. My advice would be to join BASC, they have inhouse solicitors that will fight your corner.BASC - The British Association for Shooting and Conservation
  5. Totally agree, never point one even in jest. Mind you, I think its a doddle to own firearms if you really want them. Its so easy to get a firearms ticket these days. I think they want people to own them so inevitably there will be more accidents therefore giving the authorities reason to ban all firearms from the public.
  6. Well done Sir.
  7. I bet that was a sight to behold. Amazing!!! I've never seen a Penguin flying before. Was he in a microlight?
  8. Ian, do you make those fancy hazel woven fence panels?
  9. I'm looking for someone with at least a couple of years experience who can climb, hedge trim and do groundie duties. Driving licence not essential. If anyone is interested pm me.
  10. I have an old Hunter. Buster does'nt care what list its on, he loves it.
  11. I knew that. Made you larf though Charlie.
  12. No matter what wood you burn or how well seasoned it is, it still contains resin that sticks to the chimney when burnt. It soaks into brickwork and if you have a chimney fire the resin can burn for days leading to structural damage. Hence the need for a stainless steel liner.
  13. Alot more than b n q crap, you need to target the country fair type shows with some samples then take orders. I can just picture your stand, selection of trellis', some carvings ie mushrooms and the like, a pallet of charcoal to sell etc etc etc. You could even sit there doing some turning on one of those old fashioned spinny jenny things that have string attached and you pump it with your foot. Proper olde world style, people love all that stuff.
  14. Good to hear your getting the liner, so many people scrimp on this which is a big mistake if your gonna burn wood only. Apart from the liner your gonna need a register plate, top plate and cowling. Hidden extra's but worth the investment now as things will only ever go up in price from now on.
  15. Only just noticed this thread Ian, brilliant work mate. There must be a market for quality stuff like that in some posh garden centre.
  16. This mornings little job, reduce n thin a silver birch. No chainsaws so we both had a chat while climbing together. Then off to the next job where I noticed Rich's dedication to arbtalk lol.
  17. John, I have jap as you well know but I've owned three Land Rovers in the past so can I be a member of The sLAGs?
  18. In 16yrs of trading I've only ever had tirfors, or should I say tirfor as I've only ever bought one 16yrs ago, and its as good as the day I bought it. I use a 10" webbing sling for an anchor as it spreads the load on the anchor tree.
  19. Well done Jay, chuffed for yer mate. You'll do well cos your a grafter. Dont forget me when your a bigshot and this ol git is looking for work.
  20. Just a few miles from me. Checkout the link.Welcome to West Car Sales
  21. If I were looking for a truck I'd buy this. Asking for £7000, so I'd offer £6000.
  22. In that case I dont know but what I do know is, whatever price you think your gonna spend, add on 20% at least for hidden extra's. That goes for any job on any motor be it jap or Landy.
  23. More than its worth penfold. When motors get to that age, if you can't DIY cash it on:001_smile:
  24. My first trip out and only one pigeon. I should have got my eye in on some clays first, I fired 7 cartridges to get this one bird:blushing: Oh well at least Buster enjoyed the run.
  25. Right so we're in the shop holding a hedgetrimmer and giving it plenty of ninja style movements in slow motion. Are you trying to get us sectioned Andy?
