  1. Hello Felix, welcome to the forum and fair play for making the break. I know Steve and Mark but unfortunately neither one are on here. I've not seen Steve for years but I'm always badgering Mark to have a look on here.
  2. You aint wrong, in my rush to get to work I nearly tripped the secondary defence and blew me own legs off haha.
  3. Yeah but it was the wife that was spinning it and she's got arms like Arnold.
  4. Solid dog Buzz. My little 13yr old jack looked like that once.
  5. Only kidding Dean, you and your entourage did really well after a long day. Your groundie Luke is a good laugh aswell:thumbup1:
  6. Thanks Joe. It still hurts but funnily enough I can still hold a bottle of beer in it:wink:
  7. What a muppet! I could'nt get into the shed this morning cos the key kept spinning in the lock, so out comes the club hammer(it was indoors cos I'm decorating at the mo..Mick style) whacked the lock a dozen times but no luck, so barked an order at the missus to fetch the drill. This will get me in to my beloved new kit I thinks. Started drilling the lock and in my rush it slipped and went in my hand, luckily into the soft part between thumb and forefinger and not bone. The bit broke and I squeezed my hand to feel if it was in there, it was'nt but loads of air bubbles came out with not alot of blood. So back to the hammer and after another two dozen blows it cracked, kit loaded and wound cleaned and dressed off we went. My hand was really hurting so I could'nt pull properly, so pantin to the rescue and away I went. Even came down for a tea then back up again. Hahahaha I,m a gadget convert for sure.
  8. Yeah I'm gonna cut the gecko up for a lanyard, get a decent rope and use whats left of the gecko for manky conifer. I should have bought a new one Saturday really, but me being me drove away with £500 in my pocket (tightwad). Oh well if I'd bought all the things I need at once I'd get too excited. So new rope, oval crabs and an art ropeguide next.
  9. Yeah, well the missus did all the graft on the ground while I played with the VT and pantin hahahahaha, when we had a break she could'nt work out why I was happy and not sitting there moaning as usual haha.
  10. Thanks for the offer aaron but the jobs done now.
  11. I bet your groundie loves that. That looks like a nice job with the right gear, loadsa crud removed easily and a good earner I bet.
  12. I did on site this morning from memory. Just had a look at Matty's pic again and set it on the patio. Think its right now. Now it will work even better than today. How will I sleep tonight, I'm even more excited now haha.
  13. Well second actually, the first time I tried it was back in Feb on Rich Rules set up. I could'nt get on with it and everytime I got it wrong Rich would rap my nuckles with a silky, which did,nt help really and got blood everywhere. Anyway after Saturday I knew it was time to invest in my own and get used to it. So today I used it properly for the first time and what a treat, especially when used with my new pantin. I got used to it fairly quickly and loved it, infact I'm actually looking forward to climbing again tomorrow. Thats a first for years. I think I've got it set right although I must get some oval crabs next. In the last pic I put an extra wrap on the tail but wont know until tomorrow what it feels like. So any old buzzards that aint switched over yet should really give it a try. It's nice to get excited about climbing again.
  14. Some valuable pointers there Yorkshireman, Thanks. Arbaholic: Eventually after a slow transition I would like to earn all running costs and a decent wage. Your local, how much you paying per load at the mo?
  15. Dismantle 3x50ft conifers and remove a euccy limb. All straight forward stuff.
  16. Got the voicemail mate, thanks for that. Glad you all had a good time in sunny Kent. Hardcore Stevie hit the ground running Para style, loved it:thumbup:I will stick with the vt mate dont worry.

  18. No I've got another 18yrs to go. I dont think I'll ever stop working though, just want something a little easier, stay in the game and not work for anyone else.
  19. Who in my area wants a days climbing tomorrow. Short notice I know but its there if someone wants it. If you can be at mine for 07.30 with full climb kit I'll pay premium if your good.
