  1. I have an out of date bag of pork scratchings I'd donate. Winner pays postage.
  2. Never! that coup will only hold 15 Rhode Island Reds, 10 fancy bantams and probably 2 dozen eggs at any one time.
  3. Fairplay to you Rik, I'd like to think I could be as brave as you given the same circumstances but I doubt it. Well done for making a stand:thumbup1:
  4. TPFT is Third party, fire and theft johnny. That is a good deal Robert. I'm paying £350 to NFU for a transit tipper, 2 named drivers both with clean licences and full no claims bonus.
  5. The tree rats have had em sausage fingers.......Get the 4.10 out!
  6. Okay, now I know, thanks Peter........ Sorry Mr. Clarke and fairplay to you.
  7. is a tree warden? Another money wasting scam perhaps?

  11. I'll get a copy of the pic off to the forensic lab. It does have all the hallmarks of a hyper that can't sit still for five minutes.
  12. Why do they call it a work climb, like a fool I went first on Friday when it was blowing a gale and raining and climbed like I was at work but a bit quicker. I could of had another go on Saturday but did'nt see much point in plebbing around on a prussik after watching the experts. So I got the new gear, will have plenty of time to get used to it and next is Capel haha. 10.19 damn, I knew I should of worn me other socks.
  13. Sorry mate I did'nt mean to get you excited.
  14. You must be working for a right tightwad if your climbing on gecko lol. It must be someone I know.
  15. Only in your minds eye LOL.
  16. Its all about technique Andy
  17. Thanks Robert, its not as neat as the spring cut cos I left it a tad longer to give it protection over the winter. I've told him once a year is enough but hey its his hedge. It was covered in little tight spider webs and I tried not to disturb them as much as possible cos they're good for keeping the little sap sucking aphids at bay. I know I hate hedges but I dont want it to die cos its dosh for me.
  18. One of the perks mate, it was that hot here today I'd have worn the mankini if I'd remembered to take it lol.
  19. The carb is already dogged on that machine Stevie, you have to build the revs up then keep it flat out or it dies. I wore climbing gloves all day but my hands are still tingling.
  20. Only 2 John, the gate to my yard is only 50yds from the job.
  21. Todays job. Hedge trimming, you either love it or hate, personally I hate it. Loads of work for very little profit but its regular. This is the second time I've done this hedge this year, not a good time to trim connies cos of spring burn but the customer insists so his business premises look smart all year.
  22. Thanks would have been easier to decipher, but perhaps I read it wrong. No harm done.
  23. Just trying to help:sneaky2:
  24. We've all climbed on prussiks at some stage and I'm assuming that everyone knows of Dr. Karl Prussik who developed the knot during the war due to lack of piano wire, thus enabling him to tune his piano on broken strings. So was there a system before or was it all free climbing?
