After some second opinions please, was asked to look at this Copper Beech. It has what I believe to be Ganoderma Applanatum brackets around entire base of tree. Canopy slightly thin but not too bad, and some dead wood / die back in canopy, but again not much. Is at the end of a car park in grass area for a block of flats. Targets include a neighbouring block of flats and pedestrian access, a pavement and a busy a road, and the car park for the flats that own it. Would people recommend retrenchment pruning or removal? Don't want to waste residents finances on pruning if it then gets condemned or worse falls over! Any thoughts appreciated, failing that is it worth getting an independent arboriculturist survey done ( we advise but mainly geared up for doing the work, not consultancy) many thanks. Peter

Hi, hopefully someone can help. Customer of ours has a large garden and a bit of land, he cuts just about everything for fire wood (down to a couple of inches-must have patience of a saint) but wants a chipper shredder for small twiggy stuff and woody shrub prunings that take too long to compost. He is looking at around £1200 mark and found the eliet maestro chipper shredder. Does anyone use our know anything about these- are they any good or do you have any other suggestions? My dad has an old eliet that is larger and had proved very good for him, just wondering if any one recommends new stuff, I have no idea as run a tw150 and 230 so not the same machine size! Thanks in advance. Peter

Had ours since late February, done just over 30 hours, very pleased, great machine and amazing how much more it will do than our 150. Only issues are the stickers have started to come off side panels (they sent new decals straight out - apparently had issues with glue sticking to plastic on side panels) and the bottom roller groaning occasionally (again an issue they said was down to material issue in a bush /bearing) and will be sorted free when it goes in for its first service. So hopefully just teething issues you get with any new machine. Other than that spot on, touch wood

Yes was a nice job, it's a 10 tonne trailer with a 6.3m crane. Basically same as 9 tonne trailer but larger tyres so spreads weight better, and not much difference in money, so figured it better for sensitive sites like this one where we working next to ancient meadow

A lovely week long job from a few weeks back, clearing dangerous trees, clearing overgrown scrub, pruning a few trees and first go at speed lining (loved it) whilst dismantling a Scots pine. All timber left on site for firewood and chip left for pathways, happy days

My Kubota M9540 on a small woodland park job, not the best suited for woodland work, but small and manoeuvrable

Hi Eddie, probably going to get a 200 litre drum this week or next, can you recommend a hand pump that would be suitable to decant it into fuel cans? Either one you supply, or know that works well. Don't want a cheap rubbish one of eBay! Or if any one else can help, thank you

Can't say I know much about the jenson, choose the tw over the forst as it was lighter and we only run two transits tippers on mainly domestic or small commercial work (have pto chipper for bigger stuff) so having been so impressed on demo, went for it. We dealt with rosemary at Green plant in Guildford who was very helpful and friendly

I have run a 2007 tw dhb 150 since it was six months old, and have just taken delivery of a new tw dhb 230 a month or so ago, so we can now run two teams easily. Love it so far, there is little comparison between it and the 150, is great on branchy stuff including oak and apple, and if you have a lot of bushy stuff to chip (ie overgrown hedge reductions) and the timber goes through nice aswell. Only problem is now in want to upgrade the 150 to a 230 - will have to wait a few years! On the demo we ran my 150 and the demo against each other, and me and the lads agreed the 230 a lot faster, even though we had sneded is pile less (big cedar take down) and it didn't hesitate on the few that would not go through the 150. Only fault so far is the stickers on the side panels lifted a bit, apparently they have a bit of this happen just on the Orange side panels, and sent me a new set straight away. Hope this off some help

Copper Beech reduction over house and outbuildings, two relaxed days (1 very wet) with two climbers and a groundsman - last tree I will prune before I turn 30!

Always used nfu for our 2 tractors and telehandler, then local farmer recommended farmer and mercantile, they were much cheaper, same cover and have just covered out timber trailer and crane at no extra cost

for got to say, nearly all our jobs are within 10 miles of j18 of the m25 (rickmansworth / chorleywood)

Hi looking for a second climber in Rickmansworth, Hertfordshire. We currently need a second climber on the 11th or 12th of February (can do more days this week if you need) and for the whole of the week starting 16th February. All the jobs are reductions - medium to large Further work for right climber as we currently cant keep up with demand, and need to find some more good climbers Must have all relevant qualifications, loler on kit, and be experienced in high quality reductions We will supply fuel, lowering gear and groundsaws, you just need climbing kit and tree saw more work in late february / march pm me please Thank you Peter

We are getting ours late February, can't wait. Currently got 150, and when we ran them side to side the 240 was amazing. Can't wait :-)
