You come across as a very honest hardworking guy Stefan, who knows more than a little about machinery. Get your van back asap, and take it elsewhere. If all else fails, drive it down to Kent. My mate has a garage nearby and he'll sort it while you buy me beers all night, then you can drive it back next day.

I'd never get paid if I did that mate. Time you've been caught hosing down the back of the greenhouse, rubbing muck into tear cuts and hassling teenage daughters for phone numbers there's some right grizzlers out there.

It's all BS. Every load is £50, and it's a ton. Always has been, always will be. Double can pickups were invented by Al Gore so log sellers didn't lose out to inflation.
