I went from a cresto seat to a tree magic,after the usual adjustments i changed my underwear to briefs from boxers!Helped alot,keeps the plums where they should be.

This type of thing used to bother me when we started because you think you need every job you can get just to keep busy.But the more we did the more work we got by word of mouth and i soon realised put in your price ie the price YOU need for doing the job,if you don't get it well well win some lose some.Theres eniough work up here for everyone but same as yourselves there's always some idiot who does it stupid cheap.And yes JONLAD we have a fireman on our doorstep to,he used to work for us now he does his own jobs.But as said before he can't handle the bigger jobs when we can.Doesn't bother me at all now''Why lose sleep'' To true.

Good good.Can't say we get those oppurtunities much up here in the middle of nowhere.But i'll keep it in mind for the next time i might need a crane in aberdeen.

I was under the impression CS47 was the ticket for using a top hander out of a MEWP if you didn't have CS39,or it was when i did my MEWP ticket.Your not climbing whilst using it an if you have a current MEWP ticket and the aforementioned CS unit there's no problem.

Me too,been with trust 5 years,tried NFU once for a quote,after some persuasion eventualy got our local office too give us one and nowhere near our usual figure.

What motivates me?Have to keep the sawdust pumping through my veins!Been there with the failed business too,had a harvester go on fire and insurance non payment.Took five years to clear everything up,probably took five years off my life but the way of life still motivates me to get up every morning.

I sold 8 tonne of hardwood to a guy off a job,i even delivered it with the botex.He gave me 40quid an said i don't make alot from firewood.I must have had mug written in capitals on my forehead coz a week later it was gone! -
So was that double or triple time for yourself?(if it's not too cheeky too ask)

Tried them all.Stretch airs seem to be about the toughest,with sip's coming second.Haven't torn them yet after a year.They can get a bit hot in the summer though,sip type C's not so and the vented husky type A's even less.They're great in the summer!:001_smile:The old oregon type C's are a distant memory,think they're in a cupboard somewhere full of patched ripp's!

I was having a bit of a sky plus clearout last night and watched the finale of america's toughest jobs.Did anybody see the last challenge where they went back to the rygaard's.The guy who came second did most of the tree felling with no hat and his chaps were halfway between his groyne and his knees!Surely somebody should have told him to sort himself out especially on national tv.Makes a bit of a mockery of our safety regs doesn't it!

The chance you take.We used to get a good bonus with an elm but the price has gone through the floor and they've become really fussy.

The bolt is solid dean,it won't turn at all.I think maybe the easiest way would be to grind the head off it and then knock it down the way so theres no thread to catch.But what worries me is why is it so tight.The other trailer was fine,managed to push damper back in line and all that.
