  2. Thanks Tony, had a quick read through it, will do more later, looks good, a bit long winded but thats the AA i guess. prob combine mine with that to get the best of both.
  3. And there is nothing wrong with a skoda apart from its name. To right, had the big skoda Superb for 3 years now and a cracking car it is....
  4. He wanted the tree gone from "his garden" only the land wasn't really his, his neighbour gave the game away by accident, felt like filling him in.....
  5. just shows how easy it is to be had over, NEARLY happened to me about 3 weeks ago, priced a job (sycamore removal) at the end of this guys garden, turned up on site, rope up a few lower limbs off when a neighbour came out and asked what i was doing (wanted to be rude but didn't!) turns out this tree is not this guys at all, over the last 20 years he has pushed his boundry back and "Adopted" this bit of waste land. He even lied to me when i challanged him about it and said "no body owns it so carry on" i pointed out that someone owns it some where and unless i get there permission it stops, got the old I will do it myself then (as if) reply. then he said he was going to bet another firm to do it and keep his neighbour quite.........total muppet...:even said he wasn't bothered about any come back to me...T$%^£R
  6. good work John, real shame it came down, could tell a few tales that one. how long did it take you from start to finish?
  7. well chuffed with mine, when my kwik chip got nicked i got offered a 2002 9" chip master, 55hp greenmech, a lot knocked it but there was nowt around so i took the it and am glad i did. A local firm near me have run tracked greenmechs for 8 years and swear by them. would have another 1 with out a doubt
  8. Just another thought, have you considered a Makita, there about the same price as a jonsered and are getting good comments. Jonsered is big in forestry on the continent but not so over here. good well built saw though.
  9. Same as husky, there a good saw for not that much money, i'm just re building an old "jonny red" 625, new piston etc. the only issue for me is parts, they take ages. so out of the 2 it's stihl!
  10. Climbing rope for a bonzi tree surgeon
  11. Give over john......20 at least:001_tongue:
  12. 60 quid for a half good groundie:scared1:, a cleaner gets that nowerdays,
  13. I'm doing 50 quid a bulk bag, 100 a tipper load, a bit slow at the moment but like Dean said wait a few months and they will sell. Also 50 quid in this day and age is bugger all, after you stand there cutting and splitting then deliver them it's bloody good value. Seen the price of coal layely?
  14. Pretty bad that, at least theres 2 to go at!
  15. Thanks for that, am sure all will become clear in the long run. How did you find the exam? I guess all the 200 questions are multi choice and related to the work book?
  16. When my chipper got nicked a local dealer who has been in the trade for years said the same, in a container to Ireland, still on the look out though, you never know!
  17. I,m doing isa Cert ay the moment and enjoying it too, It is very American though, Been looking round Leeds for a "Parking lot" but all i can find is a car park! how do you get the points to keen you isa then, i asume by doing more training, courses etc?

    Teabaggin'

Not really a problem, the bits in ya tea. What you have to learn to do is drink the tea with your teeth clenched shut, this way the bits get sieved out.....

Think it could go on a while!
  20. Agree Andy, same round here, large area and limited coppers, and to be honest the legal system is crap anyway, so when there caught they know nowt is really going to happen. pro crims take jail as a working hazard so that don't work, infact there better looked after and have more rights inside.
  21. I took one down last year, it's all poison, bark and seed but i have been burning it with no problem on an open fire, don't burn too bad to be honest.
  22. gonna be me aswell..............hope santa brings me a nice orange and white toy fron mr stihl:001_smile:
  23. i have had a machine mart one for about 10 years now, been great only use it for blowing out filters, blowing up tyres etc, get the biggest tank possible if your going to run tools or you will run out of air quick. my tank is 35lt and it will only just run an air ratchet ok.
