  5. LEGEND! i was just reading that he has just bought an Aston Martin Vantage....lives next door to his workshop lodging at his girlfriend,s house..easily the best T,V show at the moment:thumbup1:
  6. if you take a fall in your Arb harness...you should really retire it and the rope...They are not designed for fall arrest...especially if it,s a long one...the integrity of the stitching fastenings etc..will be compromised..(IMO) that,s why climbing above your anchor point aint a good idea...the worst i,ve ever had is a swing or two...others may say it,s ok...But not me.
  7. Hey bro! i grew up on Geordie Kebabs...did me nee harm:biggrin: you have done very well...
  8. Good post Old woodchip....maybe in NZ but not over here....clever bar horn attatchment for flicking the branches away...and the old leg around the stem...classic work positioning...A tree that size you could do it faster than him with a pole saw and an easy lift harness!...but worst chainsaw injury i saw was a guy cutting off the top off a ladder, the ladder went he ,grabbed the stem causing him to the squeeze the trigger and bury the saw into his armpit....Cut through his bicep.
  9. Went to bed early so i could wake early...get a couple of hours on Arbtalk....make some pork and rice for my lunch..After the "Pig out"at Nandos,it's back to healthy stuff followed by a cycle to my new job! First things first....swich on the laptop and get the kettle on:cool:
  10. Nice to know it went well:thumbup: good on you Treequip!
  11. That,s NUTS! suprised it didn,t rip itself off your harness attatchment.
  12. I think that was adrnaline rushing round your brain with the sheer excitment of being surrounded by the worlds largest collection of living plants!
  13. ...the sound of Hell,s Harvester head began to ROAR!!!!.....and that was enough to Summon the Hama from it,s sit and wait Strategie and rise from it,s Swampy Lair and to Battle!...Maybe this Fungal fighter could be the only creature powerful enough to Defeat the Evil Lord Walker!
  14. Over the fields and mountains the wings of the tree carried them..."Has anyoneone done a risk assesment for this journey?", asked Mick...there was no answer...they were both sleeping off the Stella...it had been a long session. They flew for many days and nights without food or water...just eating the strange berries that grew on the branches of the trees and the brightly coloured Mushrooms that grew on the ground around them...Wide eyed and in Good spirits and suprisingly awake after their long journey the wings dissapeared and the magical flying tree began to float down towards a Cabin in a clearing in the Forest below them...
  15. Kevin and Spudulike set about transforming the log with whatever was about the workshop to produce the most amazing "Flying Tree" type contraption Middle Earth had ever seen...."I love it when a plan comes together!" shouted Mick as he lit the End of an Enourmous Cuban Cigar.... "Too the Shire!" shouted Bolam...."what,you talkin about fool!!!" Growled Rich Rule.....they climbed aboard the flying tree and set off towards the Forest!
  16. It should be an excellent spot Blades...nice that you planted the pines.....tree planting is a Noble thing:thumbup:
  17. it,s a great start! keep us posted on it,s progress...
  18. Like you said..it kept on ticking over until the last moment...now that,s build quality although a type of Chainsaw "Roll Cage" may have protected it a bit better..
