These days i,m having the time of my life!...Moore,s tree care Boss, Ryan got the breakfast Butties in:thumbup1: My first Grill up for three weeks! nice treat and had time for a quick look at the Zig Zag....He runs all his quoting,buisness related stuff and of course my thread on Arbtalk on his I pad which accompanies him in the truck...Very Cool:thumbup: Very organised man and a Good friend...

I never overload....not my truck.this truck was loaded by the driver. i get a Big truck in January;)...eye protection is something that is down to the opperator...i gave up trying to tell people to put their visor down years ago...when i get my own team also in January then i have more clout and will insist...until then i am merely 2nd climber.....neither my collegues or Boss are Arbtalkers...thanks for your concerns anyway....

A very very enjoyable week...i'm working with a couple of lads who understand that the job is a team effort...want things to run smoothly and that means every job is straightforward...nothing is rushed but simple hard work gets it done! I dismantled a Sycamore in an allotment that was over a shed so cut and held most of it with a silky which is my favourite process:) finnished it of to the trunk with the 201 which i am liking and am used to it now...poisoned the stump with Eco plugs and as usual used a "brand new" Stihl drill...every single thing from rakes to the 088 are box fresh....the arb department is only 2 weeks old:cool: finnished off the week cutting the Elm and got a couple off coffee tables out of it and 3 loads of logs...one load for my boat friends...and yes...i took my Elm home on my trusty bike!

I can,t believe i,m reading this thread!...the Great Mr Walker,my old Boss and oldskool master climber moving into the 21st century! i thought you would never move away from a prussick:thumbup: GOOD FOR YOU MATE! once you get used to it Johny you will love it...saves so much energy....Get a Spiderjack 2.1 Dyneema......End of story....keep us posted Here is mine set up with 11.7 mm Yale "blue tounge"...only takes a few climbs then you,ll NEVER look back...
  8. Tsurugi is a first class "Filleting" Knife as i call it...had a brand new one sent up to me the other day which was a welcome suprise:thumbup1: was great for filleting out little branches as i climbed through a dismantle...Very handy!

  11. It was a in 97 and my Dutch wasnt as good as it is now so the name escapes me....i cycled from Rotterdam with my climbing kit on my bicycle...learnt a few tree related Dutch words...ended up living there for Four years...take care! Tot ziens!
  12. I lived in Holland for a few years wouter and worked in Haarlem on some big park trees and some by the train station there....Holland has some BIG poplars...and of course it is very Dutch to Enjoy a Douwe Egberts often! Dank u wel:biggrin:

  16. for the quality i think they are great value (Natanoko i mean) yeah the Sk 4 they are made from will only be sharpenable a certain ammount of times then you have to renew....that,s life...All good things....come to an End:001_rolleyes:
  17. Lucky you! it is indeed like having an arm powered chainsaw...and if you can get it sharpened for a tenner i would suggest finding out what file...i think it may be triangular...they are expensive but just imagine being able to tickle up a Natanoko everytime you use it.....

  19. I meant to say the noise when its cutting at full pelt....it makes a "ZING!"noise.....kinda metalic sweet sound.....you must have heared it...its a characteristic of the Nata:thumbup:

  22. Rich i would never have even tried peppermint mint tea...i liked a few cups of filter coffee each day...and i found this tea....But like you Andy i find Earl Grey is delicious! Can,t drink Yorkshire tea...it,s like dishwater:001_tt2: might buy a nice china cup to drink it out of...it,s since i became a Grandad i am starting to look after my self and enjoy the finer things in Life like Tea and....Scrumpy!
