  4. i used to work for an eastern european company in London...the climbing kit was thrown on top of chainsaws fuel etc in a gap behind the cab...shocking! storage of equiptment in a neat area is so much more proffessional and safer...it,s not rocket science...
  5. I've been asked at work to take charge of Communication and Media...in fact i am out and about in the Green Spaces and Parks taking photo's for an Official Website tommorow...i think i can manage that:rolleyes::rolleyes:

  11. Been a great programme, from the chec logging horses to the Italian wine vinyards but my favourite was the Amish horses ploughing the field.....Real horse Power indeed

  13. Great stuff D!..interesting seeing what you do...like i said..i may do a spot of travelling in late Spring Summer...may wander that way...i,m getting more shiney stuff on Saturday...it pays for itself so quickly...p.s next time you get paid...change your Duvet cover...Pink spots aint a good Tree Surgeon look:lol::lol:
  14. Glad you,re sorted...if you ever need a hand on a saturday let me know! i,m at Honey,s about 10.30 Saturday...shall call you.
  15. Rich Rule will do a proppa job for you JB:)
  16. Yep....the top of the adjacent tree hangs directly over the trunk so i still stand by my suggestion of anchoring into it and dismantle the roadside branch in small sections....
  17. Ahh..Mr Behnn,i was wondering when someone would enquire...when the top was on,he was attatched to the left hand limb as you look at the picture. He put in a back-cut and came down to the ground..the truck then pulled it over. (i watched from a great distance) i did suggest anchoring into the tree next to it and dismantle it..but no one was interested.
  18. Hey JB..i'm goung to Honey B's on Saturday...you around? Wouldn't mind looking at said Ash..wish i could do it for ya...but im working full time as you know.....
  19. Had the Chipper assesment yesterday.Did a little read through of the questions in the morning but my memory aint as good as it used to be.luckily this is about the third chipper ticket i,ve done and it,s all very familiar...anyway i managed to answer all the questions and i do enjoy the process.i have to say at this point how different the training was for this unit and the previous stumpgrinder ticket(Both with the same Arb training company).the day,s training is informal enough but in depth enough to cover all the bases..Coffee breaks when you need them and we even met up on the evening for a pint:thumbup1: Martin Spooner (Spooney) on here is a legend. I like people who clearly have a passion for this industry and an Energy about them and he is this...he delivers the notes very well and answers any questions completely...out on site he ran through the technical side of the chipper without missing a bolt or grease nipple:lol: i was very impressed and we are to be using them for any furthur training that we may require...The company director Ian looks after the assesment itself and he is just as proffessional..you can have a laugh with him in the pub but as soon as your test begins he is as very knowledgable bloke and serious about picking your brains for the complete answer...in a Nutshell,a cracking Arb training/Assesment company and i would HIGHLY recommend them:001_smile:
  20. The Silky "Tsurugi" you have there is one of the finest they make! It's great for cutting in tight spots snd it's super light and perfect i imagine for Palm trees..i've worn a Protos and they are VERY comfortable:) looks like you have a Teufelberger multi saver also. Look after your kit and it will look after you...i can't quite see your harness..either a Euroline or Kolibri...Or if you're really smart...An Austria 3!
  21. Nice new kit there D:cool:
  22. Shall bear it in mind Ww:) i've had a couple if Sawpods...both got pinched....
  23. I thought the minion picture was well cool but i reckon the one og you in the red hoody was quite artistic
