  8. Thankfully there are plenty of Beeches left by the river.
  9. I found 5 large stumps today all with the tell tale signs of recent tree surgery activity....
  10. Hopefully it will escape the chainsaw for many years unlike this old timer...many of the trees by Durham riverbanks are overmature.
  11. Spring is almost upon us...It is a very personal season for me..i was born in this month and I feel the most enthusuastic about life about now....onwards! So I head to the riverbanks and visit my favourite Tree for inspiration...hidden away from the public right of way perched high overlooking the river is to be found this Beech.
  12. Same here Matty...just try it...you will NEVER look back. Its like driving a new car but using old fashioned wheels....as soon as you link all the new components together then you will feel like you are gliding up and down your rope....it's an Epiphany moment!
  13. Stein cube, Liros "magic speed" and a 12oz slug. I sometimes take the cube out with me and spend an hour or so practicing.i find it very theraputic.
  14. TEUFELBERGER+ZZ with B.T 11.7 Best frictionless climb8ng systemi have ever used...I climbed on a prussick for about 16 years....spiderjack for 3 years....this is my favourite and easiest to use....
