  2. They do have to have them sparkly clean don't they? it looks about a ton anyway, so you will be safe with 2 ton of chips some saws and a couple of bodies
  3. what did it end up weighing Rupe?
  4. the materials are expensive where are you getting them from and is it standard tanalised green off saw timber? if it is i could get all the timber for £700 i would haggle with the supplier mate.
  5. They are all good motors mate, if there is a concrete plant near you dig all your holes needs to be about 20 and go and get a half cube of concrete saves you mixing it by hand, its about £60 for a half cube so a bit dearer than hand mixing but saves a lot of time.
  6. I have an account for my timber mate so all the money is in before i need to pay for the wood, another point of interest for you, i don't personally use postcrete as i have seen it fail many times its proper old school concrete for me Did you get that new canter Martyn?
  7. I price it per metre, it can range from £20 to £120 per metre depending on the style, spec, ground etc. Who did you price your timber from? and what was the price? Stewart timber in cumbernauld is good up your way. if you are spending £1500 materials that is right down to the last nail!!! you are looking at a £3k job on average
  8. whats on the tv...dust. ohhh that would start a war i am gonna say that just to see her reaction!!!
  9. i can take a good photo Cheers for the comments guys, it always seems to be older folk that get shafted, this couple were nice but just soooo trusting almost like they just cant seem to get there head round dishonesty and a mans word and a handshake is his bond, i got recommended to them and as soon as i tell them what i had planned they are trying to pay me!! as i say so trusting.
  10. i thought carpets hoovered themselves who remembers the shake and vac song ???
  11. A job we done over the last couple of days, client had someone start it, the first two photos are how they they left the job after they were paid, they left to get materials and never came back!!! client was an older couple so i kept the expense down to a minimum so it was nothing fancy. Although it still amazes me why people still pay contractors in full half way through a job??
  12. Did you see this on crime watch : • Between 3pm and 4pm on Thursday 25 September 2008, a silver BMW coupe registered AE52 AOM was stolen from a house in Little Eversden, Cambridgeshire. A Beretta over-and-under shotgun and gun cabinet were also stolen from the address. Did you see the BMW being stolen or do you know where it was kept between 3.45pm and 8pm that day? Have you seen the Beretta shotgun and a Bratton gun cabinet? Did you see how the suspects made their getaway from the local sewage works? * • Louis and Clive had some tree surgery work done in April 2007. Two men carried out the work but left it incomplete. One of these men came round to Clive and Louis' house two days before the murder. The man was wearing a navy blue short-sleeved shirt with a large Fred Perry logo on the front. He was also wearing navy blue jogging bottoms with three stripes down the sides and white trainers. The police have an E-fit of this man and believe he may have been involved. Have you seen him? * • Was anyone in that area approached by cold callers posing as tree surgeons? They may have been driving a white drop-side or flatbed Ford transit van.
