  1. thats why i use this combo because it grips 99% of the time. Thats what i want from my hitch. I can live with it being slightly slower advancing but i want it to grip everytime. Thats why i think some people (me included) just dont get on with the VT, it NOT consistent.
  2. just climb it the same as VT on a HC. Heres a pic of my distel/HC sett-up. Enjoying this combination at the moment just fees much more confident with it, and confidence is the key.
  3. sorry to here about the injury. Being self employed its somthing i worry about. Turned 30 this year and i dont feel quite so invincible now, what sort of cost per month are you looking at for one of these policys. Just seems like im always paying out in this game
  4. money is tight in this industry so not sure how it would work. Getting the work in the first place IS the bonus. A christmas bonus always go's down well

  10. slightly off topic but i was cutting down some dead laburnam trees the other day. It was very dusty and i was just curious would anybody on here use a dust mask? Just asking as is'nt laburnam toxic?
  11. some more pics from todays job. Check out the chipper shot this was how much brash we were getting off each tree, quite a bit but it didnt look to obvious that the tree had been thinned.
  12. cheers for the comments Heres some more thinning pics from todays job. Two Beech trees and a lime. Spec was to lift away from house and give the canopys a light thin.
  13. I think your right looking at the pics on the computer. Was'nt sure about posting it as i was'nt to happy with the end result . Customer seemed happy she was just concerned about letting more light into the garden. She deffo got that . Just seemed to struggle with it as there was so much re-gen growth due to the tree being "topped" All critizism is constructive though and this is what this site is for
  14. Not used it a great deal yet so not sure of the ware. It grips like a good'un though when tied as a distel, no "sit back" un-like when tied as a VT.
  15. Is this the treufelberger??? I may be wrong Im trying it at the moment tied as a distel used with HC. Seems a nice combo.
  16. heres a chestnut that i worked on last week. Not sure what you fellow arbs will think of it, not too sure about the finished outcome The tree had been battered (heavily topped years ago) the spec was to give it a 4m crown lift and a "good" thin.
  17. yep toatally agree. Love using the 361.
  18. treufelberger 8mm??? , liros 8mm, marlow boa 10mm. Ocean polyester..............CRAP.
  19. Seems a lot of trouble to go too. This rope must be out of this world. So what setts it aside from other ropes on the market? just curious
