  8. cheers for the replys. Was fun untill all the logs had to be pounded onto the truck . Was a bit wobbly up top. Rigged a couple of the stems down in one big chunk which saved juggling about chogging at that height
  9. some more pics................
  10. Took this sycamore down today. Was quite a big tree for me :blushing. Didn't have a massive girth but was quite tall. Split into 3 stems so plenty of fire wood . Just used the old school porta wrap, whoopie and pulley to rig it out. Not a bad job for two of us. (could have done with mozza's help but hes off supping sangria in the sun )

  20. had this conifer ready for a top stunt fell but thought i better climb up and have a quick check for our feathered friends found these little chicks. Informed the customer who was more than happy with us being responsible and still paid us due to return in a months time for the stunt fell, pictures to follow Dont forget to check fellow arbs.
  21. heres a few pics from todays jobs. The first is a Birch reduction. As usual the birch had been topped out previously and was full of reactional growth, weak unions and decaying stubs Was a tricky little reduction as there were no good anchor points. Other pics are crown lifting a large walnut tree not worked on any this big before. The last pic is rigging some syc branches that had to be lowered due to targets.
  22. fair point. But day to day work is'nt a comp. I think that this is where newbie climbers dont get it (dont mean you frank). Taking down a crappy pop or syc is'nt the ITCC. This is were sometimes the blakes rule
