  1. Wordle 1,003 3/6 ⬜⬜⬜⬜🟨 ⬜⬜⬜⬜🟨 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩 Happier with the result this evening.
  2. I wouldn't say it's rubbish, but it's certainly not his best work. Maybe he doesn't under arboriculture practices.

    Dodgy or what?

Pussy! Real men just chuck it on and let the BBQ do the de-furring.

    Dodgy or what?

I should have known it would appeal to you. Go bag yourself a bargain; its "razor sharp" as well according to matey!

  6. Yes, I felt sorry for the farmers trying to grow crops when I looked around at the drowned fields yesterday. Crazy amounts of water everywhere.
  7. Couldn't even get a snort out of me this evening. Wordle 1,002 X/6 ⬜⬜⬜⬜🟨 ⬜⬜⬜🟨🟨 🟩🟨🟩🟩⬜ 🟩⬜🟩🟩🟩 🟩⬜🟩🟩🟩 🟩⬜🟩🟩🟩
  8. Another Sunday walk, another continuous mud wallow. It's not even funny anymore. The land just can't take it now.
  9. Wheelie strange: Man speeds down road on a mobility scooter | Daily Mail Online WWW.DAILYMAIL.CO.UK Bizarre footage has emerged of a man speeding down a busy road on a red mobility scooter, the rider can be seen...
  10. Not such a good idea actually when you think about it. They'd not get many obese Brits on a jet. Not compared to the number of emaciated migrants that they're cramming on to the weekly planes to Rwanda. Closing all the fast food outlets and making people get out into fresh air to physically work seems like the more viable option.
  11. Oh yeah, that old "easy" fix. It's working wonders for the migrant crisis isn't it?
  12. Standard lackluster Wordle result this evening;- Wordle 1,001 5/6 ⬜⬜⬜🟩🟨 ⬜⬜⬜🟨⬜ 🟨⬜⬜🟨🟨 🟨⬜🟨🟩⬜ 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩
  13. I got a headache just trying to read all those names! Fair play to you.
  14. I've not been to Cleethorpes but I'm guessing half the mobility jockeys are on them because they can't physically walk anymore. This'll explain that;- Huge rise in the number of takeaways in the Grimsby area - and this is where they are - Grimsby Live WWW.GRIMSBYTELEGRAPH.CO.UK North East Lincolnshire Council is looking to stem the rise of fast-food outlets as a new report shows they are becoming... The government could grow a pair and do something about the disastereous food policy in this country. That would fix half the problem. It could also stop paying people to ride around on mobility scooters and instead pay them to do manual labour. That'd kill more than a couple of birds with one stone. A decent diet and physical exercise is a great antidote to mental as well as physical health problems. Not forgetting that coastal areas have suffered from economic deprivation due to underinvestment and a host of other issues for generations. There's no quick, easy fix, that's for sure.
  15. Me too. Old Henry's are the way to go. We used to have a professional sweep before I started doing it myself and I saw that he also used a Henry, that said something to me. The bags for them are cheap as chips so there's no reason not to use them.
  16. I've not quite developed a system yet but I often start with AMINE. Or sometimes MEATY. I think I'll steal your AUDIO! Cheers.

    Old saws

Couple of thoughts on this. If I'm not looking for much money, not in a rush to get rid of something or can't be bothered with posting it I use Gumtree. Local pickup. If I do want decent money and/or inpatient to get shot of something I go for eBay. I think the description and photos are very important on either platform, eBay especially. The more detailed and honest the description the better, same with photos. I say this as a seller and a buyer. I'm much more tempted to bid on something that I can get a sense of the provenance of. If there's not much of a description it makes me think it's fcked or maybe been nicked. Timing is also worth considering. As Spud suggested Sunday evening is a good time to finish an auction, or any other time you think will get a large audience. Conversely, someone once told me the best way to bag an eBay bargain is to look for auctions ending at odd or antisocial times, middle of the night etc. Sound advice I think. Beware eBay fees, they sting a bit!
  18. No, I'm an evening doer as well. Too much else going on in the mornings, it's part of the evening unwind. To date;-
  19. Good shout, I was thinking just last night that we could have a Woodle thread. I've been doing it for the last few weeks, most days. It's quite addictive, probably that dopamine hit getting it's hooks in. Good to stretch the old braincells a bit and helps to stave of dementia. Gonna share your stats then Mick?
  20. You'd have smelt it by now ....... Nowt so pungent as a bloated roadkill badger.
  21. Go on then, spill the beans. What other good stuff have you found? Any "barn finds" yet?
  22. Spring was so last week, keep up. If we're lucky we might have another one next week. Before another 8 weeks of rain and then 8 weeks of heatwave and drought.
