  1. It was a pissed up joy ride by the sounds of it, so I doubt much forethought went into it at all.
  2. T̶h̶a̶n̶k̶s̶, you've reminded me of this guy. Higher Intelligence Agency - Wikipedia EN.WIKIPEDIA.ORG This is a cracking album.
  3. I bet this guy had fun. Not much the police could do to stop him other than wait until he got bored, or ran out of diesel. Beware - Hysterical yam yam commentary. Shocking moment 'stolen' 24-tonne bulldozer ploughs through Royal Mail lorry - as 'drink driver', 41, is arrested WWW.THESUN.CO.UK THIS is the moment an allegedly stolen bulldozer ploughed through a Royal Mail lorry as stunned onlookers watched in...

  5. Define Leftard please. Is it just Neo-ATLism? The definition seems to be getting wider by the day, it transcends the Left/Right divide now.
  6. As if we need more plastic in our oceans. Same old, same old. Profit before Planet. Profit before People. How do we fix it though? Easy enough to call out the fckups, harder to suggest solutions.
  7. Come on now, be honest. You'd never even heard of the Partition of India until a couple of days ago.
  8. That's ok then, we have nothing to worry about.
  9. Does anyone believe he's worth $1 trillion dollars?
  10. Nor me. Wordle 1,604 X/6 ⬛🟩⬛⬛⬛ ⬛🟩🟨⬛⬛ ⬛🟩⬛🟨⬛ ⬛🟩🟩⬛🟩 ⬛🟩⬛⬛⬛ ⬛🟩⬛⬛🟩
  11. Aura Farming? Nah, this doesn't sound quite right.
  12. Which independent sources, may I ask? I take your point wrt 5 Pillars. Not a great name.
  13. Cut from the same cloth as West Bank settlers.
  14. Thirded. I have that book too.
  15. Yes a reboil, but only for 30 mins or so, plus a bit more sugar and lemon juice. The dark colour is probably a consequence of me cooking it so long. Also, I had a few Quinces mixed in with the Meddlars. It's tastes nice, that's the main thing.
  16. Sorry team. Wordle 1,603 4/6 🟩⬛⬛🟨⬛ 🟩⬛🟩⬛🟩 🟩⬛🟩⬛🟩 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩
  17. Second time lucky.
  18. I'm 49 and I've had a bit of a dodgy back for at least 30 years! I don't remember what year, I was round about 16, but I remember exactly what did it. Helping a bloke I was working for lift a big wood burner out the back of a van. It's never been the same since. Fine most of the time but if I do much prolonged lifting it kicks in with the familiar twinge. I fancy the idea of playing with one of those stones, (a smaller one), but the reality might be somewhat different. No, not seen the hench 14 year old. Got a video to stick up?
  19. Ahh, our old favourite. Love it.
  20. It's becoming apparent that physical strength is as important as cardiovascular fitness, when it comes to ageing well. I'm on the look for a nice lifting stone. The Cumbrian man on a mission to revive stone lifting heritage WWW.BBC.CO.UK A Cumbria farmer is on a mission to track down England's ancient lifting stones.
  21. Shift work itself, especially night shifts, are bad for health. Physical and mental.
  22. What pads? I don't know about office workers in the public sector, but NHS workers are the worst from what I see. A large proportion aren't just chubbers, but serious bloaters. Not so much amoungst the doctors, but certainly when you look at the nurses, cleaners, porters etc. Not a good example to the punters. Mind, it's just a slightly amplified reflection of society in general. Children's swimming lessons are truly shocking. Fat jabs aren't the answer. They're just a short term fix to make politicians look like they're doing something, with the added incentive of making the drug companies lots of money. Gyms aren't much better either.

  24. Pectin plays a big part yes. That's why pippy things like raspberries make easy setting jam. But boiling time, (level of reduction), and sugar content are also big factors. Though those last two are essentially the same thing I suppose. I did add two bottles of pectin to the mix.
