  1. As it should be. So all that said, wouldn't Trump have done better to sort the holiday entitlement out, to give Americans a decent amount of time off? Or did he say that as well?
  2. Wordle 1,183 3/6 🟨⬜🟨⬜🟨 🟨⬜🟨⬜🟨 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩
  3. No bread in today so sweet corn fritters for lunch. With added herbs
  4. This one ain't bad. So @Johnsond, it's Friday night, that means it's comedy night. How do you interpret/justify/vehemently defend this, one of old Trump's latest crazy outbursts? Do Haitians really eat mutts and pussies?
  5. Wordle 1,182 5/6 🟨⬜⬜⬜⬜ ⬜⬜🟨⬜⬜ ⬜🟨🟨⬜⬜ ⬜🟩🟩⬜🟩 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩 but fair.
  6. There's more money in food. I's not optional for starters.
  7. Good idea, much better than the incessant droning on about Starmer.
  8. Very nice. That's some garden that is.
  9. I feel for those poor sofas, I really do.
  10. Anyway. Tackling advertising around junk food is just a deck chair rearranging exercise really. The only way to fix the chronic ill health problem in this country is to stop giving people "food" that makes them sick. That'll require a head on confrontation with the mighty processed food industry though. That'll be a battle and a half. The big question is - is the new government tough enough to take on the challenge? The previous few incumbents have certainly shied away from it. (I expect Boris enjoyed more than his fair share of the lobbyists loot). It wouldn't hurt to get rid of Delivepoo etc as well.
  11. Like some people denying the crashing insect population and wider biodiversity collapse.
  12. Or this. The problem is that half the population wouldn't see a problem with those pictures. The perceived norm for body shape has been skewed so far to the right of the scale in recent years. Not helped by the stupid body positivity thinking.
  13. Coz they all only ever watch old school scheduled TV. Rather than On Demand, Catch Up, TV Streaming..........
  14. Here's a teeny tiny step in the right direction. Hopefully there weren't too many consultants, advisors and other expensive parasites involved in making the decision. TV junk food ads to be banned before 9pm from next year WWW.BBC.CO.UK Labour has confirmed it will implement the ban that the previous Conservative government committed to.
  15. Wordle 1,181 6/6 🟨⬜⬜⬜⬜ ⬜⬜🟩⬜⬜ 🟨⬜🟩⬜⬜ ⬜🟩🟩🟩⬜ 🟩🟩🟩🟩⬜ 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩
  16. Is it covered with painted canvas?
  17. Why? How can focusing on prevention rather than treatment of ill health be a cock up? We need a lot more effort on the public health front, amongst other measures. Things are going to get a hell of a lot worse if nothing is done. We are as a whole a very sick nation already. I'm astounded and saddened by the number of obese 5 - 10 year olds I see in the pool when I take my son to swimming lessons. You know where they're going to end up in 20 years time.
  18. That's a beauty. I bet it's light as a feather isn't it, how much does it weigh?
  19. NHS must reform or die, PM warns, after critical report WWW.BBC.CO.UK People have "every right to be angry", Sir Keir Starmer says, as review criticises state of the health service in England. """In a speech, the prime minister will respond to the report by promising β€œthe biggest reimagining of the NHS” since it was formed, with a new 10-year plan for the health service to be published in the coming months. He will propose three key areas of reform: the transition to a digital NHS, moving more care from hospitals to communities, and focusing efforts on prevention over sickness. """ The third proposal is very sensible and much needed. The second proposal might be sensible, but I don't think GPs would currently agree. The first proposal I'm not convinced on; could be a recipe for mega expensive fckups, based on previous experience with government IT systems.
