  1. That sounds really scary. If you're prone to believing stuff like that. I'd say it's the latter though, but I'm biased I spose. A lot of world class athletes are mixed race too.
  2. Best not to mention Conspiracy Theories now, people get all excited. That's a new one though, the great replacement theory. What happens when you get replaced, where do you go then? I hope I get to vet my replacement first.
  3. Alot of the flights at that time were from India, so mostly Hindu rather than Muslim presumably. So that was obviously OK, (nevermind about importing Covid). From what I remember Boris was in the final throws of fcking up Brexit then, so he was desperate to secure trade deals. India being top of the list. I think I remember that we were still accepting flights from there long after those from all other countries had been banned. Though I could just be talking hypothetically as well.

  5. Not a bad idea. There was a guy at the APF a few years ago with a stand demoing old cross cut saws and how to set and sharpen them. On a 5" or 6" log he was only taking a few seconds more than a chainsaw. It was damn impressive. I had a go, it felt as good or maybe better than a big Silky.
  6. More BS for his little blind mice to nibble on, hopefully. God help us if it ever comes to pass, and I'm not even in the slightest bit religious!

  9. That depends entirely on you and the job at hand. Waist height is ideal really so you probably wouldn't need a harness. Unless you're going to have to do it for prolonged periods, i.e. hours or days on end. They can also save your shoulders sometimes if you're doing high cutting. As mentioned above, they do get in the way though so I wouldn't bother unless you need to. Also, go for a proper chest type harness, not just a shoulder strap, otherwise you'll still end up with knackered shoulders!
  10. Getting boring now. Wordle 1,094 3/6 ⬜⬜⬜🟨🟨 🟩🟩🟩🟩⬜ 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩

    Weight

I wouldn't say it's irrelevant, it's a starting point if nothing else to give a general idea of what's right and wrong, if you can't see the person in front of you. Though I agree, it's not great. Most rugby players come out as obese. I think there's some new, better, metric being used now. Based on relative waist size or something.

    Weight

Reckon you're fine, not in need of more weight at all. Looks like you're getting towards the upper limit of healthy weight band on the old BMI chart actually . Obesity has become normalised now, that's the isdue. People's perception of "normal" weight has shifted to the right, (same as it has in politics). https://therapies.heartofengland.nhs.uk/wp-content/uploads/bmi_chart.pdf
  13. Umm, I foresee a costly public enquiry leading to some interesting additions to the police duty belt. A length of blue alkathene A bucket of cow feed pellets A farmer A Collie dog A dab of milk
  14. I interesting no doubt, but better than Farage. I heard a speculation this morning that he could get elected as an MP, then cross the floor to join the Conservatives and go on to become their leader. Scary prospect, and by no means beyond the realms of possibility. Politics abhors a vacuum.
  15. Interesting. Based on the scant evidence of our two trees then, it looks like degree of savagery is the key to success. Nice Sedum. Doesn't surprise me, asbestos is probably an ideal substrate for it.
  16. We could and should all be eating more venison, it would be a win/win result. The number of deer running riot all over the UK; we could almost take beef off the shelves entirely and replace it with lovely Bambi meat surely. (Most people wouldn't even know the difference anyway, unless the label told them it was made in the Venison Machine at the supermarket).

  18. Update. So I cut it back even more ruthlessly earlier this year. There's hardly any branches of the original tree left at all now. Those that are are still suffering from blossom end rot. Albeit less severely I think. The weird thing is that all the various grafts that are on the tree seem completely unaffected, they're romping away in fact. I don't understand how that can be. The poor tree is completely fcked now. If it wasn't for the grafts, (of apples that I particularly selected), I'd cut and remove it completely. As if is, I wouldn't mind leaving it for the sake of those grafts, but the infection appears to be moving further down the tree into the main boughs and trunk. Penny for your thoughts?
  19. I saw this last night and thought WTF. They had already been chasing it for a number of hours before ramming it; surely enough time to call in a vet or even local livestock farmer for assistance. Watch: Cow hit by police car gets to its feet WWW.BBC.CO.UK Footage shared with the BBC shows the animal looking stunned in the aftermath of the incident on a Surrey street.
  20. That is a surprise. At least they serve beer in French McDonald's joints.
  21. That's part of the cause probably. In a lot of UK garages now you actually have to fight your way through aisles of tempting crap to get to the cashier. They make it difficult just to go straight up and pay.
  22. Rinsed it. Wordle 1,092 3/6 ⬜🟨🟨⬜🟨 ⬜⬜🟩🟩🟩 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩 Avoiding the obvious comment here.
