  2. UK 'doesn't have enough builders' for Labour's 1.5m homes WWW.BBC.CO.UK Builders and developers say reforms are needed to recruit more tradespeople to build the homes being promised.
  3. You were right, it is this thread. Well, almost. It is about 50% anti immigration, 20% anti Starmer, 15% anti net-zero and 10% LinkedIn screen shots and 5% anything other forum members have the audacity to consider newsworthy or interesting.
  4. Wordle 1,273 X/6 ⬜⬜⬜⬜🟨 ⬜⬜🟨🟨⬜ 🟨⬜⬜🟨🟩 ⬜🟩⬜🟩🟩 ⬜🟩⬜🟩🟩 ⬜🟩⬜🟩🟩 In keeping with a few others today.
  5. *No cattle were hurt during the making of this dish" Cthulhu curry. The beefy looking sauce is tamarind, lashings of it.
  6. Look at these bad boys.
  7. Run for the hills! Lock up your womenfolk! Burn your bridges!
  8. I have to say, he always looks rather too "well covered" for one who exists solely on wild food. πŸ˜‰ To be fair though, I don't think that he's ever claimed that to be the case.
  9. He's a right tit as well though. Bear Grylls. All, in ya face, brash BS. As opposed Ray Mears's calm, humble, quiet competence. The original, and by far the best. There it is then: today's polarising question. Bear Grylls or Ray Mears? Answers on a post please.
  10. Wordle 1,272 5/6 ⬜⬜⬜🟨⬜ ⬜⬜🟩⬜⬜ ⬜⬜🟩🟩⬜ ⬜⬜🟩🟩🟩 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩
  11. Some decent cold, crisp, sunny weather please. Plus some snow for the kiddies, if you can stretch to that. Thanks Santa!
  12. Morning all. Drizzle here also. But what do we expect? That is pretty much typical Christmas weather!
  13. Ah, the inevitable edit. That's where the substance might be, if indeed there is any. Is that it now Dave mate, or is there more yet to come? Yes, I realise exactly how much plastic is in a car. Also plastic based adhesive and sealant. Cars are literally glued together these days, there's hundreds of meters of it. If you think that EVs are going to save the planet then you need to re-evaluate your religion I suggest. Anyway, you've entirely missed the point of this sub-discussion as normal. Disclaimer. I have no military service record.
  14. His choice of very much background music adds to the calmness as well.
  15. This one's a little more spicy. How many people here would "live work" like that?
  16. I think you're being slightly generous towards the right wing anti-woke mincer there. His pushing of the green agenda feels more like a means to an end, making a fortune, rather than motivated by altruism. Much like Trump, I don't believe he does anything for the good of humanity or the planet. Or anyone but himself. There's no denying his drive and determination and general business accumin though. Worth noting that his profits are partly derived from the exploitation of his workers, and others. It will be interesting to see how the conflict between ICE and BEV plays out. My guess is that he'll switch to fossil fuel powered vehicles if the pressure from Trump's other friends is too great. No doubt he'll still be very successful in that; a lot of the technologies and processes used by Tesla are ground breaking, way ahead of the other major auto manufacturers. Or, he'll continue on his current trajectory with electric cars and the oil barons will be forced to concentrate their efforts into making yet more filthy plastic that we don't need. Disclaimer. I have no military service record. Elon Musk's Tesla lobbied UK to charge petrol drivers more WWW.BBC.CO.UK Musk's firm backed the government's green stance, despite its maverick chief executive's social media attacks.
  17. Not forgetting the, (same?), billionaire guy is also trying to buy a seat at our table. Reform UK's new treasurer Nick Candy reveals he spoke to Elon Musk this morning NEWS.SKY.COM Billionaire property tycoon Nick Candy, who is married to Holly Valance, has renounced his Conservative Party membership to... As an aside, there's that Holly Valance name cropping up again. Neighbours has a lot to answer for.
