  1. They're probably getting away from this: Europe heatwave: Two dead in Italy as much of Europe scorches WWW.BBC.CO.UK A number of European regions recorded their highest temperatures on the final day of June. Can't blame them, they can't all hide down the bottom of a well!
  2. We would be very grateful if you could send it across this way
  3. Thanks Alan. I don't even know why I wrote Lyme's - when those links and the leaflet I was reading all say Lyme Disease, mental block. I can't edit the OP now unfortunately, too old probably.
  4. Does he? 2/3. Facts and reality count for everything.
  5. Were you boweled out or did you get the runs?
  6. Wordle 1,472 5/6 ⬜⬜⬜🟨⬜ ⬜⬜🟩⬜⬜ ⬜🟩🟩🟩⬜ ⬜🟩🟩🟩🟩 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩
  7. You're just scraping the bottom of the barrel now. The good stuff is tailing off.
  8. Me too. Not funny at all! Wordle 1,471 6/6 ⬜⬜⬜🟨⬜ ⬜⬜🟨⬜⬜ 🟨🟩⬜⬜🟩 ⬜🟩⬜🟩🟩 🟩🟩⬜🟩🟩 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩
  9. Sweet corn fritters with garlic chives.
  10. Indeed. I've read that a couple of times, but I feel like I've missed a word or two somewhere. (Though it's been a hot day and the Budvars are beautifully cold this evening). What were the obvious signs of impending fracture?
  11. Tragic news. Bit weird too, looks like a fairly catastrophic failure; not just a limb drop. No clues in the story so far, no report of a storm or high winds or anything. Children 7, dies, after tree falls in Southend's Chalkwell Park WWW.BBC.CO.UK Police say another child, aged six, is in a serious condition.
  12. I'm just glad I went before it got completely enshittified.
  13. Send in ole Tone, he'll sniff em out the WMD.
  14. At least he's honest.
  15. Wordle 1,469 4/6 🟨⬜⬜🟩⬜ 🟨🟨⬜🟩⬜ ⬜🟩🟩🟩⬜ 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩
  16. I'd hope to be a little deeper than 2' when it's my time.
  17. Right then, I'm off out to dig a couple of feet out of the bottom of my greenhouses.
  18. I think the "secret" US attacks have probably served to convince Iran, (or more accurately the Ayatollahs), that the only way to protect themselves from Israel is to develop their own nuclear weapons. There's a good chance that they're now beavering away, redoubling their efforts to further enrich their stash of Uranium, that is now secretly stashed somewhere even safer. Talk about unintended consequences. This doesn't bode well: Iranian lawmakers vote to suspend cooperation with UN nuclear watchdog WWW.FRANCE24.COM Iranian lawmakers on Wednesday voted to suspend its collaboration with the International Atomic Energy Agency... Turns out that Toddler Geopolitics, played out on social media doesn't quite work
  19. I think that's probably right. Plus they gain a little extra height inside. Plus there's less glass required. Plus it probably won't get so hot in the blazing sun.
  20. Ain't that the truth. Desperate for rain here.
  21. Thanks. That may well be the answer I think. Until recently we were still having unusuallly low nighttime temperatures.
  22. I blame the HSE. If it weren't for the mention of prayer, the story would never have made it onto this site.
