  1. Gutted I swapped my 2.5 n/a for a disco 200tdi lump, apart form the turbo i also had to lengthen the pas and oil cooler pipes, a Disco transfer will fit straight on a defender gearbox it has a slightly different gear ratio tho.
  2. May be a Lucombe Oak, cross between Q. cerris and Q. suber (Cork and turkey Oak)

  5. Came across this Beech with Ganoderma applanatum. Leaning towards the road with fresh cracking emanating from the top of the bracket
  6. Possibly Suillus collinitus, located near Pines and Cedar. Not sure about this one thinking Fistulina hepatica (Beefsteak Fungus) seems to be in the wrong place, too high and too far out on the limb. Could be saprophytic and feeding of the dead wood? Appearing on first lateral branch just after fork
  7. The berries are'nt toxic its the seed with in.

  9. Beech with some interesting compression fork growth and huge ears. This is what caught my eye

Interesting topic, We have Phytophthora ramorum in our woodlands, The Food and Environment Research Agency / Defra - Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs have a new five year programme on fighting Phytophthora so there should be some one able to help. Got one of there people coming out next month so if i remember will ask for any specific names, ill assume you’re more interested in tree related cases.

  12. Done a few where i work, use space heaters once the polythene was over the frame to get it tight so in the the summer its not a saggy mess.
