  1. second that a good fire wood man will be able to cut the lenght you require , but get in now and stock up on small logs for the winter . Because when the winter start's most people have there logs already cut to a set size normally 10 inches i charge a extra £15 a load for logs under 8 inches but that will still be cheaper than kiln dried let the summer do it for you.

Hi JONNY as said a felling licence will be required 4 weeks the norm , you said that the site was heathland is it a sssi ,if so the owners must be in contact with a wildlife trust or natural england to have a managment plan in place .if it is not a sssi and is heath land be very carfull because the do gooders will be watching and after the end of march it is birdbreeding season and if you start upseting some off the rare spiecies even mating areas you and you alone would be the villian , that goes for snakes and lizards they love heathland.

Had a note from ben burgess at norwich saying that john deere will not cover any faults if the veh has been run on the low sulper red diesel unless it meets en950 standard to find this out you will have to ring your supplier, also stated the ultra low sulpher diesel can contain 15% bio fuel this could lead to storage proplems
