  5. you can , i know the cant hase a bobble at the end , the hook has a wedge end you could also whip some cord onto the end for more grip

  7. :steve you say tech advisor / is that the derek who used to work in the work shop as a mech/fitter who could strip a chipper down blindfolded and re assembel doing all the faults on the way , if so top man to know:thumbup1:
  8. tomo the big one can shift most stuff 20" no proplem it has a segrated edge so you can wedge it in and prise logs around the handle is very heavy duty ,mind you it was not cheap £ 70 but good tools dont come cheap .
  9. for those guessing what a hookaroon is , a big and small one a very handy tool
  10. Yes mate i use both we call them hockaroons same thing , if you are pulling of a big pile use the large one safer, and i use the small one to pick up and place the cord on the cutting deck ( jappa 700 ) i find it better than tongs as it gives you 6 more inches less bending also handy to carry in the landy as a tool?!!!! just make sure you keep them sharpe

  17. here is one it lifted earlier oak
  18. That one cost me 10,500 ex demo 50 hours with grapple bucket normal bucket and a set of tynes ,
  19. It will stack them 2 high in the barn i use the vented bags full of oak , it's helped by having a goon size counter weight on the back me
  20. Not had it long ,it's another string to the bow , staking bags of wood in the barn at the moment , tight accsses so is ideal . got 2 x more bits of kit coming soon a old l/rover hyd winch and a small recipitating hedge cutter then mount them on the pick up bracket ( £ 60 a time ) and away we go . The winch is for getting into tight areas pull over and pull out then swap it for the grapple bucket out and load up . The hedge cutter is mainly for dyke edges to cut the vegetiation oh and hedges I will get some photos up when there done
  21. Just doing a few bags of pine for a mate,
  22. Thanks for all the positive comments , they are constructed on the Pingo trail near thetford , due to the location there is no accsses for wheelchairs , all the timber and kit had to be walked to the site . Only proplem it was not water but 3 feet of stinky rotten mud with 2 inches of wet stuff on top , then there was the leaches and umpteen hundred types of biting insects . oh and all them blondes we had to move out of the way , and photos are on there way to various ogrs as we speek .
  23. I was asked to construct 2 x small bird / viewing hides. I had to build from scratch the only restraint was the size 8x4 and 6 foot 9 inches high . One was on dry land and the other in water ,that gave me a few proplems , but heyho give it a go what do you think ?
  24. Try these chaps J S Wright 01245 361 639 they are in Essex but be aware bat willows are not bought the same way as other timber they only wont what they can use which sometimes can only be a small part of the tree, hopfully they are not water marked stained if they are fire wood, good luck
  25. doing it at the moment got 3 bays set up , only proplem i found is that they need bracing on the out side , 3 old fence posts does the trick. Yes it does dry on the inside I have pallets in mine on the floor even more air .
