  1. this is going to be the survival time those that can trime themselves down to the bone and do the job with the minimale cheapest kit are going through to the next round but no way does this mean that the cheapest will be the worst or the most expensive is the best . it is a sign of the times . my opinion
  2. i do believe that norfolk c c publish all payments for contracts and to whom if you want to look at there list and find out what the other guy is charging you can
  3. dyna rope very expensive pluse when i get'r a good stain on it it flattens and if its's going through a pully it could run over the lip and jam up , just a point .

  5. as tirfor cable is expensive i have 3 normal wire cables made up with a eye at each end 10 m 30m 50 m to cover all tasks and keep them in mini tyres my tirfor cable is 20 m so to get your distance just add a standard cable . 6m will not give you much to spare if you double up with a pulley for stumps

  10. sort of tin boats we call them fire trays a 3x3 meter square high angeled sides made out of steel they will float so we can burn all day long we winch them about with a snow cat fitted with d/d winch
  11. allways dropping saw's into water can't help it good old 346 take out plug turn upside down let out water mud and crittters, spin over plug in fire up on the 3 or 4 pull carry on, i would never let it sit there get it going asp and let the work dry it .

  15. I think she has thought about the question and would ask a expert on arbtalk yes it would be more benificial to own one if you could afford it and keep all the profit from a job in-house people often ask if i will grind the stump-out and i can reply yes .
  16. Mechanical i find best you can play the pull better instead of just pull , you can play out better aswell if you are lowering

  19. Boxer dont come up much for sale s/hand but you could try cliff of boxer uk they are awsome bits of kit , iv'e just had a upgrade to a 532dx he has s/hand stock.

    Sleep

    Big j i have just been diagnoesid with sleep Apnoea . im healthy fit and graft all day in the fresh air eat good food and sleep 7 /8 hours but when i get up im still tired can sleep any where all day cant consentrat lathargic snoore and just fell crap it's been creeping up for about 5 years . it is a lack of recharge sleep do to not enough air geting into the body , so i now sleep with with a small machine forcing air into my lungs , iv'e been on it a week and i feel a lot better already google it and have a read it is common but people dont realise they have a condition.
  21. you can stand on the deck and drive /steer , as somtimes your going through stuff you cant walk in / on , he has to wear yellow wellies by law because as a midget he could be picked up by accident and thrown in the chipper , tut ' thought you would of known that steve . did not start till 14.55
  22. We had to move cut scrub out of mire and up to top of hill where it was chipped we ended up with about 6 cubes of chip . was going to winch out but used neddy in the end . all done by 1500.
  23. got a vanguard on the log spliter had it for 12 years and im the third owner its been looked after , and it's looked after me .
