  1. Definatley!! I'm working my way through the DVDs. I'm more or less certain that he will have forgotten more than I know!! haha!!! Tommer, Nod at Treeworker sells the book!!
  2. If the tree is going to the saw mill, maybe they didn't want the flare and it was easier to do when the tree is standing? Just a guess. Be interested in hearing the right answer!
  3. My brother got a new car a couple of years ago and paid a fair bit for it, within a week some little scroates had scratched every single panel for no reason. Like you said, when I was a lad, I'd never think of smashing up someone's car.
  4. Look on the bright side Liam, at least it wasn't nicked!!! Only joking mate. The little gits want shooting.
  5. Here comes the controvesial bit, I read it and although it is a good read, its a little bit condescending, and tends to veer towards the "I'm so wonderful, look at me" school of writing. I thought that the first half of the book was a little bit twee and hard to read, but it definatley picks up towards the end.... Just my opinion...
  6. Thats either brilliant or awful!! Or possibly a bit of both!! I've seen an abrasive wheel that had broken and been glued back together. Pretty frightening!!
  7. Am I actually winning something so far then?!? Sweet!!!
  8. I was thinking that if you're going to abseil down a single line, then surely a couple of layers of something like carpet or matting could work, If you're going to use a "normal" climning system, anchor point to a H frame like Mozz said and then a little redirect pulley could do the trick. Only about £12 and handy to keep if you haven't got one.
  9. What climbing system you going to use mate?
  10. This is the problem, I know that I have absolutley no use for one, but still I want one!!! ha ha!!!
  11. I did mine in Chainsaw trousers and as it was a little bit of a last minute thing, Thought, "I better get me coat in case its cold" Didn't realise how packed it would be in the basket and couldn't take the bleedin' thing off!! I was put right under the burner as well!! I'm sure I went home with a tan!! haha!!!
  12. Glad you're ok buddy. Good thread if it makes us all think! Cheers for posting!!
  13. The one thing thats wierd is how quiet it is as well!!
  14. Did they do the trick where you stop as still as possible and he opens all the vents on one side and blasts the flame and you spin 360? I've got a video but can't upload it. It was great!!
  15. Drove past this and had to take a picture. The sign has been hung on a connector to a water pipe that had been leaking. It cracked me up that someone bothered to make the sign and hang it there!! haha!!
  16. Had to dig around on one of my old phones but found a few more:001_smile:
  17. Couple of the Pics I had... Only from my phone so not very good Check out "PhotoShop" number 3:blushing:
  18. Ha ha!! Ours was a bit of a bodge!! :blushing:Me mate was on the start of a river so had fresh water springs. Only about 9 to 10 ft deep and about 50- 60ft from side to side. Had to use brute force and ignorance to yank that gate through!! Tractor certainly would've been easier but we only had ignorance and a brute!! hahaha!!!
  19. Yes buddy!! [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LLA8uDqZzUc]YouTube - NOFX-The longest line[/ame]
  20. Good work buddy. I can remember being made to pull a small gate through a small lake/massive pond to clear the weed. I was on one bank, my mate on the other, pulling a length of blue polyprop through stinking water. Not my favourite job!! haha!!
