  1. Weigh even more when I get the concrete mixer going over the weekend to fill in the decayed sections
  2. Sorry to piss every one off Timber hauler was suppose to come later on tonight (has scales on truck) but is only coming Monday morning now. So will have to announce the lucky winner Monday night. The best rakes come to those who wait
  3. Of course rakes dont grow on trees
  4. yeah so you cant enter the rake completiton
  5. Construction work around 10 mature Beech Trees resulted in rubble and soil be built up around the bases. All died or became diseased, not going to pretend I know the reason why some of them became diseased rather than just dying. Maybe someone could enlighten me. Spalting looks nice but all going to firewood unless someone knows of a better home. Anyone want to guess the weight, correct answer wins a rake
  6. Had a quick search on google / arbtalk but easier to ask What will a 1996 Cabstar tipper weigh unladen, thanks,
  7. Need one desperately near Bury, please ring me on 0789 2828286 if you can, cheers, Dave
  8. As you know there is a monumental difference between what the likes of UU require in comparison to say whats expected from a local church. My entire H&S infrastructure is twice as fat as my laptop, like you say why share that and give away the edge. But I think what this thread is about is sharing good solid generic documentation thats does the majority.
  9. that would be some stump grinding job!! bet you enjoyed that.
  10. I may be wrong Deano, but I suspect you dont really care if you sell logs or not just a bonus.
  11. It depends on the customer you are delivering to, there is no way that mrs Spiffington-Smythe-Carstairs at 1 kings avenue is going to want a load of logs tipped on her drive.
  12. I thought £99.99 for a tonne bag was reasonable, it was pop and Alder after all
  13. I offered him 10 tonne bags full for his log store, but he wants to do it him self, retired and likes keeping busy.
  14. I was told by NFU that you dont need EL for immediate family members.
  15. I want to buy my dad an electric splitter for use at home are they a complete waste of time and no where near the tonne rating or ok, it will be only used for rings about 12 inch diameter and 12 inch long.
  16. I have some spalted Beech in the yard for a carver or for rustic furniture, PM offers per top or per chunk. Can be delivered if required. (3120 had 42 inch bar). Thanks, Dave
  17. Damn he ringed it up, thats my leave it in lengths for forwarder theory out of the window . And on second look may be that slopes not as steep as i thought, still think it was better rigged though.
  18. Could you explain to me how you would have taken up the slack on a pull rope quick enough after each lump came off, and even if they did not roll very far down the hill how you would pull them back up again Also what if a tractor and forwarder is being utilised to take timber away in lengths. A £1000 worth of kit is hardly a lot to take on a decent take down
  19. You would'nt, you would have to provide adequate inhouse training with certification and appropriate H&S infrastructure. You would only need operators quals if you were working as a subcontractor and the client insisted on certain tickets
  20. yeah I could get a cracker my mate has 1 I can borrow and hes only 4 miles away, I was just interested in other ways to process As you know crackers are awkard to use to split stuff under 8 inches. I would be happier leaving my lads with thing Ed posted than all kit required for cracker
  21. I have a crane, Im just thinking of a way to do firewood with ARBWASTE up to 20 inches without massive processor.
  22. no just want someone haine or thorman speed not buzz speed
