  2. 50% of it is poplar, the other is mixed ash, sycamore, oak all 15 - 20 inch, can arrange haulage if required. It is all stacked together so cant separate. PM if interested.
  3. you will be getting 30hp so buy a cheap 4-6inch pto chipper and put it on an axle,
  4. I always wonder how that works, as a sole trader I think your ok as its only you using it (your choice) but as LTD you are an employee of the company and HSE could come down on you???
  5. 2 belts have snapped in 550, and chipper is miles away on railway embankment in Wales, can anyone tell me size (width / length) etc or anything else i need to know to get replacement, are they just like other chipper belts and therefore I can go to just Halfords of something.

  10. Be 100% you will make lots of money out it, dont even think of going in at 20% gross etc, you need 50%+, if it costs you £120 per tree you want £180, no ifs, no buts, dont risk it. You will have a lot less over heads etc than bigger companies and so will be competitive if you work out your costs first. If they are all in a row and can do them all at once, hire in 3 "haines" to do cutting and get it all on the ground before any clearing up, and then come back once all is down with a clear up team you will make a lot more money that way.

  12. After a 12 hour day, my lads are not going to want to bring into the hotel, 6 saws, a pole pruner, 2 strimmers & hedge cutters may have a slight problem with space also.
  13. It was only a few months since I got cleaned out, the 260's that went were just out of the box and replacements from the last lost that went. Probably used for about 30 hours each!!!!
  14. only 3 saws this time, out of van from a travel inn near Chester, 2 x 260's, 1 x339 & some hedge cutters, 260's brand new out of the box a week ago from Jonesie's!!!

  20. if your good! get a loan for 1.5 k get down to proclimber and get your certs, you could even just do straight for assessments for 100 quid a pop, get them done or you will be left behind,
