  1. Im looking to rent an old stone cottage for a week in September, in caingorms, skye, Jura, Glencoe etc. More remote the better, must have log burner / log fire and be old and traditional inside (ones I have seen seem to have modern interior) only contradicting extra I would like would be a hot tub. Anyone know of one.
  2. Your so right Dean, I dont appreciate the view from our front room (photo's below), my girlfriend says it is a little noisy but I always tell her ... " it could be worse we could be in Brighouse"
  3. This could only happen to Deano
  4. is it an off set one as in not directly behind the tractor.
  5. I have some vegetation to flail as part of a clearance job, just brambles and grass. Does anyone know where I can hire one to put on a fastrac, or maybe someone who owns one on here who would part with it for a weeks hire. Cant use a subby as cant cross hire.
  6. Available on hourly or day rate as individual machines or as complete clearance package. Based in Lancashire but will go anywhere. Excellent Rates. PM for details on different options. Greenmech 1928 safetrac also available at £400 a week.
  7. I have a 21 inch vermeer with crane (200hp engine) pulled by a JCB fastrac for hire if any use.
  8. starting this monday (16th June) pm for details must have Construction Skills Certification Scheme card.
  9. how much better does a skidsteer that has purpose built tracks perform than a skidsteer with wheels that have the tracks over top of the tyres?
  10. Simple supply and demand, as long as those colleges chuck out hundreds of tree surgeons every year the rates will stay low. I get on average 5 calls a week from tree job hunters, I bet a local tesco store don't get the same ratio of calls in relation to their work force size.
  11. Sorry for the time waste timber now sold.
  12. Mainly 8 inch to 36inch - pm for price including / excluding haulage
  13. I think they are still fountains support services at the moment, cause they have not swapped their link-up approval, I am still invoicing fountains anyway.
  14. it burns perfectly fine when dry (hence they make matches from it (your face - my arse ), more importantly the value of the timber is obviously not the same as ash, oak etc but all timber has a value
  15. located in preston, ring 0789 2828286 to discuss price and haulage, cheers,
  16. alternative is mounting it on a forwarder but with that set up I will have no haulage costs around the country Obviously not going to have the same manoeuvrability but should do the job,
  17. Im planning on invading a small bit of over grown waste land near you soon.
  18. Want to get something like this, (MAN 453 6x6) are these as good as it gets or are there other better alternatives, looking for something with excellent axle articulation, and low range / diff-locks etc, over 300hp. Looking to mount a 20 inch Morbark on the back with timber crane
  19. Your right Stevie, PTO is a option with them, but then I suppose any truck in the country can have a pto fitted.
  20. I think some people call the steel part bolted on to fly wheel that blades attach to the anvil. Or have I made this up and no chipper in the world has steel bolted on to fly wheel
  21. I think people perceive anvil as different things,
  22. Literally just thought of insurance, My chippers are just like a car policy with the NFU and are fully comprehensive, combined with the fact the director of my local branch a drinker in my local, I reckon that could be the answer
  23. A railway sleeper pin, hidden in a chunk of hawthorn, went through my Greenmech 19-28 safetrac this afternoon, the railway sleeper pin (hardened steel) was chopped into 3 pieces, smashed the chipper blades & knocked a chunk out of anvil. What other damage might have been created, could the bearings be damaged or the drive shaft warped?
  24. Used Saturn, but not this company bladesandknivesdirect.co.uk : olfa, stanley, swann morton. is there a reason they are cheap??
