    Looking at the website for business grant there is a company number at the bottom. According to Companies House this is a company called Grant Financial Consultancy Ltd run by Peter Allan Grant. He is the only officer of the company, incorporated in 2014. The website implies they have 13 years experience. Looks a bit dodgy to me. If the application is approved you my have to pay a fee to progress it. Don't is my advice. This could be what is known as advanced free fraud. http://www.cormacktreecare.co.uk

    Yes, it is a Drummondii. I've thinned it in the past and removed any reverted growth from within the crown, but not reduced it. Cheers http://www.cormacktreecare.co.uk

    Evening all, I've been asked to lightly reduce and reshape a variegated maple. In all my years as a tree surgeon, I've not reduced one of these. My worry is that the ensuing re-growth would be the more dominant reverted back to green branches. Anyone got any experience of reducing one, and seeing what happens?     After struggling on with this, it finally wouldn't start at all. Gave it to a chap who knows, and after a lot of head scratching and checking, noticed that the piston was in the wrong place when it was meant to be firing. Turns out the crankshaft stub on the magneto side had come loose and slipped round a few degrees! Going back to Echo to be rebuilt or replaced. http://www.cormacktreecare.co.uk

    I heard today from a chainsaw repairer that a stihl chap said during manufacture the hole for the crankcase bearing was not staying completely round. This made the bearing run out of true, causing wear in the needle bearing, clutch drum, crankshaft and oiler. They've figured it out now. Took them long enough.... http://www.cormacktreecare.co.uk
